GONZALES And seconded by SP Mem. ARTURO M. TIONGCO) A RESOLUTION FAVORABLY ENDORSING THE APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF ENCHANTED KINGDOM, INC. WITH THE TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENTERPRISE ZONE AUHTORITY (TIEZA) FOR THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF "ENCHANTED KINGDOM INTEGRATED ATTRACTIONS DESTINATION COVERING 29.65 HECTARES OF LAND", SUBJECT TO ALL LEGAL LAWS, RULES AND REGULATIONS . WHEREAS, Enchanted Kingdom, Inc. requested an endorsement from the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Santa Rosa in connection with their application for registration with the TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENTERPRISE ZONE AUTHORITY (TIEZA) for their proposed development of "Enchanted Kingdom Integrated attractions destination covering 29.65 hectares of land" located at Barangay Balibago City of Santa Rosa, Laguna; WHEREAS, Enchanted Kingdom is operating in its 20 th year of existence. The future expansion will be focused on a more comprehensive amusement park adding several attractions like new theme Zone, multiple hotels, convention centers, institutional center complete with educational training facilities and industry related activity center; WHEREAS, the Sanggunlang Panlungsod, upon recommendation of Sangguniang Members, realize the development of the property will push the growth and urbanization of the city, thus, will provide increase In revenue and will generate more employment; NOW, THEREFORE, on a motion duly seconded by: HEREBY RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED to endorse the application for registration of Enchanted Kingdom, Inc. with the tourism infrastructure and enterprise zone authority (TIEZA) for the proposed development of "Enchanted Kingdom Integrated Attractions Destination covering 29.65 hectares of land", subject to all legal laws, rules and regulations. DANILO RAMON S. FERNANDEZ, REQUESTING FOR THE RATIFICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF ENCHANTED KINGDOM, INC. TO THE TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENTERPRISE ZONE AUTHORITY (TIEZA) FOR THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF ENCHANTED KINGDOM INTEGRATED ATTRACTIONS DESTINATION COVERING 29.65 HECTARES OF LAND. FACTS: On May 22, 2017, the Sangguniang Panlungsod received a letter from the City Mayor requesting for the passing of a Resolution, favoring Enchanted Kingdom Inc. as part of their compliance for Tourism Infrastructure Enterprise Zone Authority. FINDINGS: On May 26, 2017 the Committee on Laws and Government conducted a Joint Hearing with the Committee on Tourism. The said Committee Hearing was divided into two (2) important discussions namely, the endorsement to TIEZA which is the master plan of Enchanted Kingdom in its 29.65 hectares of development covering various and different types of amusement parks. Secondly is the economic, social and developmental impact of Enchanted Kingdom in the City of Santa Rosa. Enchanted Kingdom is operating in its 20th year of existence. The future expansion will be focused on a more comprehensive amusement park adding several attractions like new theme zone, multiple hotels, convention centers, institutional center complete with educational training facilities and industry related activity center. Having mentioned the development and plans of Enchanted Kingdom, it is but important to consider the favorable impacts of this development in the City of Santa Rosa. 1. Increase in Local Taxes 2. Employment 3. Tourist 4. Improved Traffic Infrastructure 5. Investments Therefore, the passage of a Resolution for this purpose will create a win-win philosophy for the City of Santa Rosa, it would evidently enhance Tourism and possibly amplify the access to industrial estates, improves real estate values. RECOMMENDATIONS: The Joint Committee on Laws and Tourism presided by the Chairman on Laws and Government Hon. ROY M. GONZALES is cognizant to the need of Enchanted Kingdom Inc. for to secure TIEZA approval. Since, the City of Santa Rosa and Enchanted Kingdom Inc. will both beneficiary of win-win philosophy of governance. After reviewing all its measures particularly the positive effects on local taxes, the future increase of employments, the improvement of traffic infrastructure and investments, ergo, the Joint Committee on Laws and Government together with the Committee on Tourism is convinced to adopt and approved their request for TIEZA endorsement.     Annual Report 2009 A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 2009 has been another year of blessings for Bahay Tuluyan. We have been able to find a home in Manila after being homeless for so many years. It is my privilege to be part of the realisation of this new center. The numbers and statistics in this report do nothing to portray the direct and critical impact that Bahay Tuluyan’s programs and services have on the lives of children every day. It is difficult to capture or convey the importance of a program that builds the self esteem of a child who has been brutally abused by his parents or develops leadership skills in a child exploited by her neighbours. Our work to make this world safe for all children has a long way to go but I know that this report reflects the significance of the small contribution we are making. I look forward to continuing to lead Bahay Tuluyan as it heads into another challenging and exciting year. Thank you for all the support. Lily V.
