50 YEARS ON……….

The French Federation will celebrate Ken Rosewall’s final triumph over 50 years ago, in what was a defining period for the sport with the Open era beginning. Ken added to a win in Paris 15 years earlier when he defeated the only man to twice win the . An 8 time major championship winner, Ken will be honoured at Roland Garros this year and will attend the French Open Champions Dinner and present the trophy to the Men’s Singles Winner. KEN ROSEWALL REGIONAL PROJECT

Now in the third year of funding from CQS, The Yulgilbar Foundation and International Club Philanthropy, KTF programs are being conducted in many primary schools in regional and remote areas in as part of the Ken Rosewall Regional Project.

Kids Tennis Foundation is truly indebted to these three wonderful sponsors. As a result, the children in schools in these regional and remote areas have been given an opportunity that would not have been possible without their support. One such school is Bluff Point Primary School (Western Australia). Bluff Point Primary School is a school situated in the regional City of Greater Geraldton, a coastal city in the Mid West region of Western Australia, located 424 kilometres (263 miles) north of Perth in Western Australia. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary in October 2013. Enrolments are drawn from Aboriginal (54%), non-aboriginal, migrant and non-English speaking backgrounds. “We have had the pleasure of having Batavia Tennis Coaching run the Kids Tennis Foundation program at our school.
