Day 1: Arrive in Toronto, ON
Welcome to Toronto, Canada?s largest city and an international crossroad for people all around the world. Diverse neighborhoods flourish and fashion, live entertainment, arts, food and architecture thrive. Upon arrival at the Toronto Airport, a private transfer will take you to your accommodation, located in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Toronto is ours to discover today. Along with being a commercial and financial powerhouse, Toronto has also successfully positioned itself as a thriving artist community where music, theatre and movies come to life. Hosting the prominent Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) every fall, Toronto shares the name "Hollywood North" with Vancouver, a reference to the countless blockbuster movies filmed in Toronto each year. A tour of Toronto includes Yonge Street, the longest street in the world, Casa Loma, Chinatown, the waterfront and the CN Tower, an icon of Toronto's skyline

Day 3: Toronto ? Niagara Falls, ON
A short drive to Niagara Falls, the self-proclaimed "Honeymoon Capital of the World". On the way, we will visit the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, in a region blessed with a unique climate and rich soil that makes for near perfect wine producing conditions. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a picturesque country town with dozens of local wineries, each with their own unique method and style in creating wine this region is known for. We will visit a local winery for a tour of their processes and of course to taste the finished product. Further along, the city of Niagara Falls sits on the banks of the Niagara River and provides the perfect view of the famed falls, Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The three waterfalls straddle the international border of Canada and USA and collectively have the highest flow rate of any waterfalls in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 ft. To fully appreciate the power of these waterfalls, we board the Hornblower Cruise, formerly the Maid of the Mist, which allows us to cruise to the base of the thundering falls. After viewing from the falls from their base, we rise high above them for a spectacular view from the Skylon Tower as we enjoy dinner at the top this evening.

Day 4: Niagara Falls ? Kingston, ON
Today our journey takes us from Niagara to Kingston, known as the Limestone City for the large number of stone built granite buildings in the city. Now the location of the prestigious Queens University, this university town sits on the edge of Lake Ontario and is a gateway to the pristine Thousand Lakes Region. We take a trolley tour of this historic city, the first capital city of the Province of Canada in 1841, which was then a British Colony. Our tour explores the history of Kingston and concludes at Bellevue House, a National Historic Site of Canada and the childhood home of Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. MacDonald.

Day 5: Kingston ? Ottawa, ON
We continue our drive stopping at Gananoque to take a lunch time river cruise to see some of the famous 1000 Islands that dot the St. Lawrence River. This evening we arrive in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. Rich with history, culture and prestigious educational institutions, Ottawa's centerpiece is Parliament Hill, the home of Canada's federal government and the heartbeat of Canadian politics.

Day 6: Ottawa, ON
Today we are joined by a local guide as we embark on a sightseeing tour of this fascinating city. We start with a guided tour of Parliament Hill. Designed and built in a gothic revival style and featuring national symbols of Canada throughout its design, Parliament Hill stands on the banks of the Ottawa River and is affectionately known by locals and politicians as "The Hill". Our tour of Ottawa continues showcasing the Rideau Canal, a National Historic Site and UNESCO World Heritage Site; it is the oldest operational canal system in North America. The Rideau Canal system locks work to join the Ottawa River to Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River system. We visit the Museum of Natural History and then the Canadian Museum of History. We conclude the day at Byward Market where an array of local food artisans show-case a wide variety of foods. The Byward Market is a wonderful place to enjoy your evening at leisure in Ottawa.

Day 7: Ottawa ? Montréal, QC
Departing Ottawa by train, we take a ride for 3 hrs and arrive in Montreal, a city with an important place in Québec and within Canada. A stylish and elegant city with a distinctly European flair offering a vibrant mix of the old and new where you can immerse yourself in the French heritage of North America. We will spend some time to stroll through narrow cobbled lanes with 17th century buildings, quaint shops, galleries and sidewalk cafés. Montréal is a city with a thousand different flavours, from award-winning restaurants to ethnic food stalls and locally grown products. During dinner, we sample the cuisine this city has to offer.

Today we enjoy a classic Montreal city tour with an expert local guide as we experience an overview of the city and its historical sites. We see the highlights of one of the world's largest French-speaking cities in the world with stops at the city's important locations where there will be time to explore and take pictures. We visit the Notre-Dame Basilica, St. Joseph's Oratory, the residential and financial districts, Old Montréal, the French Quarter and McGill University, and then take in some panoramic views from an observation point on top of Mount Royal from which Montréal gets its name.The evening is free to explore the city on your own.

Day 9: Montréal ? Québec City, QC
This morning we board the VIA Rail train from Montréal, and follow the St. Lawrence River as we pass from city suburbs to the rural landscapes of forests and rich pastures, dotted with tiny villages. The scenic landscape extends to Québec City, the oldest walled city in North America and the heart of the French Canadian culture in Canada. Old Québec is a UNESCO designated World Heritage City and the so called Québec Fortifications, the Chateau Frontenac, Québec Citadel, the Plains of Abraham and Québec Ile d'Orléans, make up important landmarks of Old Québec City and the nearby region. There will be a walking tour through the old part of town.

Day 10: Québec City, QC
Today we discover more of Québec City (the Upper and Lower Towns) through its history, architecture and culture. We explore the walled city and the historic Lower Town, but also travel outside the city walls to see Parliament Hill and the famous Plains of Abraham. Many different influences have shaped Québec's history over the past 400 years, the indigenous peoples, the French, the Acadians, the British, the Americans, the Germans and the Irish, to name a few. There is a lot to discover here by foot. We plan to walk through some pedestrian areas like the Dufferin Terrasse, around Chateau Frontenac, Place-Royale (birthplace of the city), and the Petit-Champlain borough. There will be some free time this evening before we board The Ocean train at 10:50 pm and head east towards the Atlantic region of Canada.

Day 11: Moncton, NB
We journey through some idyllic New Brunswick countryside this morning before arriving in Moncton early afternoon. Located in southeastern New Brunswick, Moncton boasts over 32 large scale contemporary murals in and around the heart of the city, a wonderful outdoor gallery, created by a mix of international and local muralists. At Resurgo Place, we suggest you visit Moncton Museum and Transportation Discovery Centre and advantage of a variety of free services such as travel assistance, advice, access to maps and tourism guides, information about events, and attractions.

Day 12: Moncton ? Bay of Fundy, Charlottetown, PEI
This morning we travel to the Fundy National Park to the incredible Hopewell Rocks, home of the Flowerpots, peculiar rock formations that are shaped by tidal erosion and stand some 40-70 feet tall. These rocks are forested islands at high tide and resemble flowerpots at low tide. After visiting this incredible area, we continue to the town of Shediac, known as the "Lobster Capital of the World", where we see the World's Largest Lobster before embarking on a lobster cruise to learn about lobsters and the local fishery while we savour

Page 3/5 a freshly cooked lobster lunch. Following our cruise, we make our way to the province of Prince Edward Island crossing on the Confederation Bridge. The curved, 12.9 km. (8 mile) long bridge is the longest in the world crossing ice-covered water, linking mainland New Brunswick with Prince Edward Island, and continues to be one of Canada?s top engineering achievements of the 20th century. After four years of construction using more than five thousand local workers, the Confederation Bridge opened to traffic on May 31, 1997. We arrive in the capital city of Charlottetown this evening.

Day 13: Charlottetown and PEI Tour
Charlottetown is the capital of Prince Edward Island, and is located on the southern coast of the province. Our city tour highlights some of the historical buildings including St. Dunstan's Basilica and The Province House National Historic Site, where the Charlottetown Conference was held in 1864. We then explore some of Prince Edward Island's treasures, including Cavendish National Park and the Green Gables Heritage Place, where you can walk through the memory-filled rooms of the beloved fictional character, Anne of Green Gables. We sample some of the best preserves in the world at the Prince Edward Island Preserves Company and visit the fishing village of North Rustico.

Day 14: Charlottetown ? Halifax, NS
We drive over the Confederation Bridge once again and enter Nova Scotia and drive across the province, the last on our transcontinental journey, as we head to the capital city of Halifax. Today we take a drive tour of Halifax, which includes the Victorian Public Gardens, the Titanic Grave Site, and several historic sites in and around the city. We will also visit the Canadian Museum of Immigration in Pier 21, a former ocean liner terminal and Canada's last remaining immigration shed, showcasing some of Canada?s immigration history. Time permitting, we will visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which is rich with maritime history and stories of the people that define Nova Scotia. The evening is at leisure to explore Halifax's harbour front, walk along the promenade, and sample local cuisine at a city centre restaurant.

Day 15: Lunenburg and Peggy\'s Cove, NS
This morning we travel the rugged south shore of Nova Scotia, to the well-known town of Peggy's Cove to visit Peggy's Point Lighthouse, which sits high upon the smooth wave-worn granite of the coast. This is the most photographed lighthouse in Canada. Before departing Peggy's Cove, we will visit the Acadian Maple Products shop, a family owned business who are the largest producers of maple syrup in Nova Scotia. Continuing along Nova Scotia's rugged coast, we visit picturesque Mahone Bay, showcasing three elegant churches on the sheltered harbour of this quaint village. We then visit UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, one of Nova Scotia's most historic towns and home of the famed fishing schooner Bluenose II. Here we visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn the history of commercial fishing in Atlantic Canada.

There is free time today to visit the Citadel, a fortress to which Halifax, a city on the sea, owes its very existence. The Citadel is located the large hill overlooking the easily defended harbour below and continues to watch over the Halifax downtown core. Or take a day trip to the other side of the peninsula towards the towns of Wolfville and Kentville and explore the fast growing wine industry of Nova Scotia. Some vineyards, planted as early as 1979, now produce top quality wines.We will gather for our final farewell dinner this evening and recollect memories created over the past 4 weeks of our epic journey across Canada.
