The Dewey Cox Story, Ice Princess, Jewel: a Life Uncommon, Return to Me, the Other Sister, Phenomenon, I Shot Andy Warhol, Clueless and Crossing Guard ‘FRAMED FOR MURDER: A FIXER-UPPER MYSTERY’ Cast Bios JEWEL (Shannon Hughes) – Singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, actress, author and poet Jewel Murray is a four-time Grammy nominee who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. She grew up in Homer, Alaska, and attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, where she majored in operatic voice. Her debut album, Pieces of You, was released in 1995 and sold more than 12 million copies in the U.S. alone, and her 2015 memoir, “Never Broken,” was a New York Times bestseller. Her professional acting career began opposite Tobey Maguire in the 1999 Ang Lee film Ride with the Devil, she starred as June Carter Cash in Lifetime’s “Ring of Fire,” and guest-starred in an episode of NBC’s “The Lyons Den.” She hosted Bravo’s competition series “Platinum Hit” and the documentary series “The Incurables,” and guest-voiced the roles of Cheshire Cat in “Dora the Explorer” and Tear Sparrow on Fox’s animated “Axe Cop.” She has performed on-camera in numerous feature films, including: Howard Stern Birthday Bash, Valentine’s Day, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Ice Princess, Jewel: A Life Uncommon, Return to Me, The Other Sister, Phenomenon, I Shot Andy Warhol, Clueless and Crossing Guard. Her long list of performances in television series includes: “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “ Being Erica,” “Men In Trees,” “Las Vegas,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Bones” and “Cold Case.” She has twice been the featured musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.” # # # COLIN FERGUSON (Macintyre Sullivan) – Canadian actor, director and producer Colin Ferguson is best known for his starring turn as Sheriff Jack Carter on Syfy’s “Eureka.” He has appeared in over three dozen television series and films, including the American remake of the British hit sitcom “Coupling,” Universal Pictures’ 2007 film “Because I Said So” opposite Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore, Syfy’s “Haven,” TNT’s “Major Crimes,” The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” and, most recently, Hallmark Channel’s “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove” and the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Every Christmas Has a Story.” Born and raised in Montreal, Ferguson got his start as a member of the Montreal improv group “On the Spot.” Although he is most recognized for his starring role in “Eureka” from 2006 to 2012, his many television credits include the mini-series “Armistead Maupin’s More Tales of the City,” TV movies “Inside the Osmonds,” “Daydream Believers: The Monkees’ Story,” “Americana” and “Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber,” a lead role in the TV series “Then Came You” and guest-starring roles on “Becker,” “Titus,” “The Outer Limits,” “Crossing Jordan,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “My Boys, “CSI: Miami,” “Happily Divorced” and “Major Crimes,” to name a few. In addition, he starred in the feature film “The Opposite of Sex,” alongside Christina Ricci, Martin Donovan and Lisa Kudrow. In 2011, Ferguson was a guest presenter for sci-fi news show “Hydraspace.” He also served as producer and director on nearly a dozen episodes of “Eureka” during its six season run.
