Publicado por: José Luis Estrada Betancourt Christina María Aguilera, de origen ecuatoriano e irlandés, nació en Staten Island, Nueva York, Estados Unidos, el 18 de diciembre de 1980. Conjuga en su carrera las profesiones de cantante, actriz, compositora, bailarina, modelo, productora, diseñadora y empresaria. Comenzó a actuar y cantar desde niña, a través de papeles en producciones teatrales y programas de televisión en los que se destacan Star Search y Mickey Mouse Club. En el año 1997 grabó el tema Reflection para la banda sonora de la película original de Disney Channel, Mulan , y en 1999 lanza su álbum de estudio debut titulado Christina Aguilera, del cuál se desprendió el éxito Genie In A Bottle. En el año 2000 lanza un álbum en español, titulado Mi Reflejo, que la convirtió en la primer estadounidense en ganar un Grammy Latino. Asimismo colaboró en el tema Lady Marmalade de la película Moulin Rouge (2001) y con Nobody Wants to Be Lonely de Ricky Martin. Luego vendrían sus CDs Stripped (2002) y Back to Basics (2006). Tras un breve receso en el cual se convirtió en madre, lanzó un álbum de éxitos titulado Keeps Gettin’ Better: A Decade of Hits (2008), que fue seguido por Bionic (2010) y Lotus (2012). Meses después estrenó la película Burlesque, siendo su primer papel protagónico junto a Cher, donde la banda sonora de la película obtuvo candidaturas a los premios Globo de Oro y Grammys. Desde el 2011 al 2013, Aguilera fue jueza del programa musical The Voice. En ese mismo período colaboró con el tema de Pitbull en Feel This Moment y con el mexicano Alejandro Fernández en el sencillo Hoy tengo ganas de ti. A finales de 2013 se unió al dúo A Great Big World para la canción Say Something. Poseedora de un amplio rango vocal de 4,9 octavas, es conocida como la voz de su generación. Su trabajo le ha proporcionado cuatro premios Grammy y un Grammy Latino, entre 17 nominaciones y tres, respectivamente, y una nominación al Globo de Oro.     Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.
