Eidfjord offers a unique natural environment. With large contrasts and small distances you can experience the most and best that Norway has to offer. Large open spaces and high mountains. Eidfjord offers possibilities to stimulate the body and the senses. Here you can decide exactly how you will use your energies. Long mountain tours with a backpack, fishing rod, or berry picking. Eidfjord has a lot to offer. Vøringfossen is one of Norway’s best known and visited tourist attractions. Sima hydroelectric power plant gives an impressive insight into how nature is utilised to make renewable electricity. Kjeåsen farm shows how people lived and subsisted in the old days. Gallery Bergslien displays local art. Trolltoget is a winner for children and adults alike. Hardangervidda Nature Centre has authentic exhibitions of the natural environment of the mountain plateau, from the past to the present. You take a bus back to Voss via the steep Stalheimskleivene, Norway’s steepest stretch of road, with a stop at the Stalheim Hotel. 4. Voss The church from the Middle Ages in the centre of Voss, Mølstertunet and Voss Folk Museum are some of the examples of the rich culture that Voss has to offer. Voss also offers superb walks round the Hanguren mountain and in the town centre. For those that like extreme sports, Voss has very good opportunities, such as rafting, paragliding, parasailing, waterskiing, etc. You can travel to Voss by car and bus.
