Bible Study What is it? It’s a small community that reads, learns, and reflects on the Bible and its meaning in their lives. Do not hesitate to come because you feel you might be somewhat unfamiliar with the Bible…we are all on a journey and we are blessed to journey together. The theme for our fall study is the four gospel writers, with selected gospels from each. The goal of the study is to further our knowledge and appreciation of the gospels by learning more about the writers – their personal background, social context, and how their unique perspective contributes to their writings and how Jesus is portrayed in their gospel. So, we will look at each writer and select a gospel passage from each for the group’s reflection and discernment. This is an opportunity for you to become part of a community growing in enrichment and understanding of the Bible. Please join us! We will meet on: Mondays in October, 7:00-8:30 p.m., in Daniel Hall October 19 – Luke, October 26 – John This study is “live” so we will honor the distancing and mask-wearing – “acts of kindness” for one another. Because of the distancing, we will be limited in our space accommodations, so please call or email to reserve a space. For more information or to sign up, please contact Dottie Foster at 860-1111 or email to [email protected]. Each week is a “stand-alone,” so come for as many or few sessions to which you feel led and are able to attend. So, is the Spirit leading you to join us? Know that you are most welcome.
