These students took the initiative to select Bible verses and songs appropriate for the service. Fifty faculty, staff, students, and their families gathered around the flagpole on the front lawn of the school that night to pray, reflect, and be together as a community. We are truly blessed to be a commu- nity of faith that serves as a support in times of tragedy and gives us strength. 4 Unification of the Society of Mary It was announced this spring that four of the Marianist provinces will be combined into one national province, with its provincial office in St. Louis, Missouri. While the ministry of secondary education will remain a key focus of the new leadership, the specific impact on S.M.-owned schools like C-J is yet to be determined. We have enjoyed a close, personal relationship with the leadership team of the Cincinnati Province, as these men were active in gover- nance at the Corporation and Board of Trustees levels at C-J. Whatever the result, we thank the Society of Mary for their history of support and guidance, and we look forward to a strong and positive continuing Marianist presence in the C-J community.
