Mary Meagher was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey under the sign of Aquarius, and lived at Park Place & Broadwalk in the family hotel, the Marlborough-Blenheim. cared for by an English Nanny.
Mary went to Oakwood School, Poughkeepsie, and barely squeaked through Swarthmore College ('54) with a degree in Economics.
She left law school to marry, lived in Michigan and Berkeley, California and came to Britain in 1971; then followed seven years of farming near Totnes, Devon, before moving to Oxford in 1978, where Mary was responsible for the successful campaign to build the Oxford Ice Rink.
She took up flying in 1983.
