For the first time the number of children waiting for care is higher than registered adopters. Adoption Now is a new adoption agency, which brings together Bolton, Tameside, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, and Blackburn with Darwen councils to share best practice, resources and expertise. There are around 100 children waiting for adoption across the six authority areas, with 20 of them from Bol- ton.
