THIS SUMMER AT QUEENS PARK

Thu 16 - Mon 27 August 2018 Tall tales Octagon Theatre Bolton presents GULLIVER’S in the park TRAVELS Based on the novel by Jonathan Swift A new adaptation by Satinder Chohan & Mike Kenny This summer the Octagon Theatre Bolton will transform Queens Park Directed by Elizabeth Newman & Ben Occhipinti into the extraordinary land of Lilliput from the classic children’s tale Gulliver’s Travels.

Gulliver’s fantastical adventures will be brought to life for a huge celebration of Bolton communities in the Octagon’s first ever park show.

A cast of professional actors will be joined each performance by young performers, local choirs and community companies featuring a puppet that is eight metres high and currently the tallest puppet being made in the UK.

Gulliver is a traveller and a teller of some rather tall tales. This one is maybe his tallest yet! Gulliver wants to be a hero in his daughter’s eyes. So he takes her on a journey to a land where he is literally a giant. Travel with Gulliver to the land of Lilliput where war is brewing, trouble is coming and Gulliver finds himself at the centre of it all.
