Antelope Fire Update 8/3/2021

EVACUATION ORDERS remain in place the Bray area, the community of Tennant, and Antelope Creek due to the Antelope Fire. For the most current and accurate evacuation information for Siskiyou County, go to: https://arcg.is/1mWjWj

The Antelope Fire continues to burn actively today. Fire has spread into the Antelope Creek drainage and is also on both sides of the 6 Road. Ground resources estimate the size of the Antelope Fire to be 1800-2100 acres.

The Antelope Fire will continue to be a dynamic situation due to critically dry fuels and continued hot and dry weather. Residents in the area need to monitor information and heed direction from authorities.

Significant support in the form of resources from the CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit, local government, contractors, and the has been provided to assist resources. Numerous aircraft are on the fire today.

A type 2 incident management team has been activated for this incident and will assume command tomorrow.
