• Pending Registrations & Pending Transfers . To be eligible for the Brisbane Lions offers all players are required to be registered by 1st March . Clubs need to check their Pending Registrations & send proof of age document to the League and ensure under 6 players have registered with Auskick - In some instances parents may believe they uploaded the proof of age but it is not showing . Clubs need to ensure that player transfers have been approved by all parties AND that the player has registered online

• Team Nominations . Completed Ground Allocation & Availability forms must be sent to us by 1st March . Clubs will be sent youth & junior team nomination forms on 1st March . Clubs must return completed nomination forms to us by 18th March . Final team nomination meeting for all age groups will be held on 23rd March

• Coach Registration . All coaches & assistant coaches will be required to register with clubs like players do using the club online registration form . The coaching accreditation database will only be used to register for coaching courses & adding coaching accreditation to a coach’s record . Reminder –league coaches meetings will be held on the following dates, 2016 coaches ID will be supplied at these meetings - Youth, 11th & 13th April - Junior, 16th & 18th May

• Team Manager Footyweb Access . Clubs should begin getting new team managers to register with SP Passport . Team managers already registered will not need to register again unless they want to register a new email address

• Junior Football Umpire Program . Dates & venues have been finalized . They will be added to the calendar on our web site & communicated to all clubs

• Ground Marshall Accreditation . Online accreditation has been developed

• ‘Lions in Your Club’ was formed in 2011 to formalize the relationship between Brisbane Lions & AFL Brisbane Juniors to provide benefits for the clubs & players • AFL Brisbane Juniors would like to acknowledge Brisbane Lions staff – Rebecca Shaw, Laura Kulpa, Adam Spackman & Adam McDonald –as the key drivers • In the 5 years since it’s formation AFL Brisbane Juniors player numbers have risen from 5,712 to 7,302 in 2015, in the same period membership to ‘Bernie’s Gang’ increased • For the past 3 years membership & ticket offers have been made available as part of the player registration • Today is an opportunity for AFL Brisbane Juniors to host the 2016 Season Launch as a part of the Brisbane Lions Australia Post Community Camp

Objectives ‐ Provide a program that compliments engagement activity from previous years and further builds relationships and provides additional assistance to Junior Clubs, AFL Brisbane Juniors and regional AFL Hubs . ‐ Create an avenue to sample and trial specific offers that can later be implemented to junior participants ‐ Interact and turn engaged AFL participants into regular consumers of the Brisbane Lions.

Engagement Strategy To ensure the listed objectives are met the following initiatives will be implemented. These will be further detailed within the deliverables for each region:

U8 & U10 (born 2006 & 2008) –Two x 3 Game Memberships

U6, U7 – U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16(born 2009 – 2011 & born 2005 – 2000) – discounted ticket offer – 30% discounted tickets Premiers March Winning teams to get the opportunity to do a lap of honour around the Gabba at a TBC selected home game Junior Mascot AFLBJ participants have the opportunity to enter a competition to be the Brisbane lions TBC Junior Mascot to run out with the team Fundraising 1 x Fully Signed football for each junior club to use for any fundraising activities Received at Brisbane Juniors conference

Fundraising 1 corporate box for $500 to raffle off or to on sell to raise money. Junior Club to keep Season 2016 100% of profit Family Day Guernsey Junior Clubs have the opportunity to nominate junior players to present player jerseys TBC Presentation at the 2016 Family Day Talent ID Training Camp All clubs able to further develop talent within their clubs outside of the Academy players TBC and nominate them for Talent ID Training Camp.

Coach the Coaches In 2016, the Brisbane Lions coaching staff will be conducting a free coaching seminar for TBC all AFL Brisbane coaches to attend Champions Memorabilia All clubs who host functions, fundraisers or Auctions can utilise Champions Memorabilia 2016 AFL Season free of charge and claim all profits Brisbane Juniors Awards Brisbane Lions will again supply players to attend the end of the year awards night. TBC Night

Roy’s Rookies All participants have the opportunity to become a member of ‘Roy Rookies’ via their Season 2016 online sign‐on registration at no cost with new initiatives and incentives for 2016.

Junior Member Clinic All participants who join as junior members or sign up to Roy’s Rookies will be invited to TBC the Brisbane Lions junior Clinic run at the Gabba by Brisbane Lions players Special Guest Speakers
