The cave contains 25 000 m3 of stratified ice. Its maximum thickness is approx. 23 m. Water entering into the cave have been collected at two places: precipitation fallen through the cave opening and dripping water. Stable isotopic compositions of precipitation and dripping water are close to the Global Meteoric Water Line (GMWL). The isotopic composition of precipitation follows the well-known annual cycle and shows larger variability than dripping water. The stable isotopic compositions vary δD from -200.4‰ to -35.1‰, and δ18O from -25.69‰ to -4.14‰ for precipitation; while for dripping water they vary δD from -155.4‰ to -59.6‰, and δ18O from -20.92‰ to -9.69‰ during the studied period (17 September, 2005 -11 March 2007). To assess the δ-T relationship we calculated the mean surface air temperature of sampling periods from hourly data recorded approximately 2 kms away from the Borţig Ice Cave. Comparison revealed a quite good linear relationship. 13 3rd Int. One of the main results of the liberalization is the emergence of inefficient spatial structures of regional public transport systems in Russian regions. While the problem of optimization of urban public transport system has been extensively studied, the structure of regional public transport system has been referred less often. The question is whether the problems of spatial structure are common for regional and public transportation systems, and if this is the case, whether the techniques developed for urban public transport planning and management are applicable to regional networks. The analysis of the regional public transport system in Perm Krai has shown that the problems of cities and regions are very similar. On this evidence the proposals were made in order to employ urban practice for the optimization of regional public transport system. The detailed program was developed for Perm Krai which can be later on adapted for other regions. JEL Classification: R42.

  • Heterogeneity in Demand and Oprimal Price Conditioning for Local Rail Transportation
Heterogeneity in Demand and Oprimal Price Conditioning for Local Rail Transportation Evgeniy M. Ozhegov∗ National Research University Higher School of Economics. Research Group for Applied Markets and Enterprises Studies. Research fellow [email protected] Alina Ozhegova National Research University Higher School of Economics. Research Group for Applied Markets and Enterprises Studies. Junior research fellow [email protected] May 31, 2019 Abstract This paper describes the results of research project on optimal pricing for LLC "Perm Local Rail Company". In this study we propose a regression tree based approach for estimation of demand function for local rail tickets considering high degree of demand heterogeneity by various trip directions and the goals of travel. Employing detailed data on ticket sales for 5 years we estimate the parameters of demand function and reveal the significant variation in price elasticity of demand. While in average the demand is elastic by price, near a quarter of trips is characterized by weakly elastic demand. Lower elasticity of demand is correlated with lower degree of competition with other transport and inflexible frequency of travel. I. Introduction Local rail transportation in Russia is an important part of public transport system, as it is often the only way for people to move between locations. At the same time, due to the large length of the arXiv:1905.12859v1 [econ.EM] 30 May 2019 tracks and the distance between large settlements, regional passenger companies cannot cover the costs of operating local rail transport by the revenue from ticket sales. For instance, the revenue of LLC Perm Local Rail Company (PPK) in 2017 amounted to 596 million rubles (near 1 mln.

How to use the Atlas The Atlas has two map sections The Main Section shows the location of Russia’s intact forest landscapes. The Thematic Section shows their tree species composition in two different ways. The legend is placed at the beginning of each set of maps. If you are looking for an area near a town or village Go to the Index on page 153 and find the alphabetical list of settlements by English name. The Cyrillic name is also given along with the map page number and coordinates (latitude and longitude) where it can be found. Capitals of regions and districts (raiony) are listed along with many other settlements, but only in the vicinity of intact forest landscapes. The reader should not expect to see a city like Moscow listed. Villages that are insufficiently known or very small are not listed and appear on the map only as nameless dots. If you are looking for an administrative region Go to the Index on page 185 and find the list of administrative regions. The numbers refer to the map on the inside back cover. Having found the region on this map, the reader will know which index map to use to search further. If you are looking for the big picture Go to the overview map on page 35. This map shows all of Russia’s Intact Forest Landscapes, along with the borders and Roman numerals of the five index maps. • Mechanisms of Karst Breakdown Formation in the Gypsum Karst of the Fore-Ural Region, Russia (From Observations in the Kungurskaja Cave)
89 Int. J. Speleo l. , 31(1/4)2002: 89-114 MECHANISMS OF KARST BREAKDOWN FORMATION IN THE GYPSUM KARST OF THE FORE-URAL REGION, RUSSIA (FROM OBSERVATIONS IN THE KUNGURSKAJA CAVE) Yjacheslav ANDREJCHUK and Alexander KLIMCHOUK ABSTRACT The fore-Ural is a classical region of intrastratal gypsum karst. The intensive development of karst in the Permian gypsums and anhydrites causes numerous practical problems, the subsi dence hazard being the most severe. Mechanisms of karst breakdown formation were studied in detail in the Kunguskaya Cave area. The cave and its setting are characteristic to the region and, being a site of detailed sta tionary studies for many years, the cave represents a convenient location for various karst and speleological investigations. Breakdown structures related to cavities of the Kungurskaya Cave type develop by two mech anisms: gravitational (sagging and fall-in of the ceilings of cavities) and filtrational/gravita tional (crumbling and fall-in of the ceilings of vertical solution pipes, facilitated by percola tion). The former implies upward stoping of the breakout roof and cessation of the process at some height above the floor of the cave due to complete infilling by fallen clasts. This mech anism cannot generate surface deformation where the overburden thickness exceeds a certain value. The latter mechanism implies that breakdown will almost inevitably express itself at the surface, most commonly as a sudden collapse, even where the thickness of the overburden is large. These mechanisms result in different appearance, distribution and further evolution of the respective surface forms, so that subsidence hazard assessment should be performed dif ferently for these types of breakdown.

  • Geological Conditions of Karst Development in the Nizhneirensko-Orda Area (Perm Krai, Russia)
E3S Web of Conferences 223, 02002 (2020) https://doi.org/10.1051/e3sconf/202022302002 RPERS 2020 Geological conditions of karst development in the Nizhneirensko-Orda area (Perm Krai, Russia) Eugene Erofeev, Valery Kataev RF Perm State University (PSNIU), 614990, Perm, Russia Abstract. The article presents the results of research on the use of remote sensing methods in combination with general geological methods to study the patterns of karst development. Practical aspects of expanding the possibilities of using remote sensing methods for engineering and geological surveys in territories of karst development are considered. Analysis and interpretation of the research materials were carried out using spatial analysis and mathematical methods. The priority tasks of the research were to evaluate and expand the possibilities of using remote methods as part of a complex of engineering and geological surveys, to combine remote research methods with general geological methods for solving specific practical problems, to establish general laws of the influence of various natural factors on the intensity and parameters of surface karst forms, their analysis and mathematical justification. Introduction. Taking into account the regulatory requirements of SP 11-1057-II [1] for engineering and geological surveys in karst territories in terms of the integration of Earth remote sensing materials (aerial and cosmophotographs) with general geological research methods, the authors, based on the results of karstological interpretation, space radar surveying the earth's surface and drilling materials, a mathematical assessment of the influence of various natural factors on the parameters of surface karst forms is given. Research area. The Nizhneirensko-Orda area, which occupies the right bank of the lower course of the Iren river up to the longitude of the village of Orda, corresponding to the northern part of the Irensky gypsum and carbonate-gypsum karst region, was chosen as the research area [2].

Most of the dilution methods are based on evaluation of mixing processes with neutral buoyancy while the behavior of heavy highly mineralized brines is fundamentally different. For this reason, most of traditional methods for calculating the dilution which regulate the procedure for the discharge of wastewater to surface water bodies are incorrect. This paper discusses new approach based on hydrodynamic models in 3D formulation in non-hydrostatic approximation. Introduction that of the sewage with neutral buoyancy. Today one of the world’s largest Verkhnekamsk Because of that, traditional methods for potash and magnesium ore deposits is being calculating the dilution processes presented actively developed. Keywords: ecological, active, sport, self-regulatory tourism, territorial organization, Perm, Ural Mountains. Introduction. The idea that the territories, which are the most interesting in terms of nature, must be used rationally in tourism and be protected from other, especially “non environment-friendly”, activities is quite commonplace in present world and is almost universally accepted. It primarily concerns unique beautiful places with the nature’s masterpieces. Such areas must have a certain system of organi- zation in the form of national parks, nature parks and such like to encourage tourism and combine the functions of nature conservation and tourism. A number of countries have succeeded in this field and have nationwide networks of national parks. Creating a network of national parks has always lagged behind the needs of people in the organization of tourism and recreation in the natural environment in Russia due to a shift in priorities towards the protection of the natural heritage from all economic activities, including recreational one and tourism.
