White launched his career as a keyboardist touring with Al Stewart and worked with him in the studio on the classic album Year of the Cat. The tour and that album marked the beginning of a 20-year association with Stewart. During that time, the two musicians co-wrote numerous songs, including Stewart’s 1978 hit, “Time Passages.” After years as a backup musician and a session player, White launched his solo recording career and his annual Christmas tour is fueled by the success of his two highly regarded holiday albums, Songs of the Season (1997) and A Peter White Christmas (2007). Braun adds his stylistically eclectic trumpeting to the mix. For over forty years, he has worked with many music greats, recorded eighteen solo and collaboration albums, performed before countless audiences, and most recently, created a special collection of songs for STARLUX Airlines. STARLUX Airlines is a new, luxury airline based in Taiwan. Official flights will begin in January 2020 with plans to expand to North America by 2024. The airline’s attention to detail has created great excitement in the airline community and public: cabins designed by BMW’s Designworks Studio, an impressive in-flight entertainment system, elegant uniforms, free wi-fi for all, an exclusive fragrance, a highly entertaining safety video, and the very music created by White. As a departure from the traditional airline, on-board music style, STARLUX asked that White bring in his special sound for their airline. Founder and CEO Kuo-Wei Chang grew fond of White’s music while studying in the United States and would listen to it while driving. It was his idea to have the guitarist create music for the airline to immerse passengers in a relaxed and happy atmosphere as soon as they board and to enhance their comfort while flying. White’s career began when he was invited to play keyboards for folk-rock singer Al Stewart in the 1970s. The Nashville Jazz Workshop (NJW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching people’s lives through jazz education and performance. For 20 years the NJW has delivered world class performances and music education to Nashville audiences and jazz fans around the country and the world. 2020 has been a challenging year for cultural institutions everywhere as they seek to fulfill their missions and remain financially viable. Fortunately, the internet has enabled the NJW to continue serving audiences and students – over 20,000 people have subscribed to the NJW’s YouTube channel to view live and archived performances and hundreds have enrolled in virtual classes since social distancing restrictions began in March. Jazzmania is the NJW’s annual jazz party and fundraiser. As a live event it has been “the jazz party of the year” and one of the city’s most engaging and fun charity events. As with other charity events, the event is moving online this year as a virtual event. On October 24, 2020 the Workshop will host Jazzmania as an online jazz party and evening of world class jazz performances. We will share our love of jazz, celebrate the Workshop’s 20th anniversary and ask our devoted fans to open their hearts and wallets to support the Workshop. The streaming event will also be targeted to a global audience, to build awareness of the NJW and engagement with jazz fans around the world. Proceeds from the event will support the NJW’s Music Education, Performance Series and Community Outreach.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskrptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Peranan horn section pada lagu “Get It On” dengan genre funk cenderung bermain sebagai pengisi/filler, sesekali mengambil tema utama dan juga memainkan bagian improvisasi seperti lagu-lagu jazz pada umumnya, (2) karaketeristik permainan pengisi/filler horn section pada lagu “Get It On” ini cenderung menggunakan not-not sepredelapan, seperenambelas serta banyak bermain di bagian sinkopasi dan tutti, (3) bentuk komposisi lagu “Get It On” terdiri dari tiga bagian , dengan susunan kalimat A- B-C-A’ yang terdiri dari 181 birama : 17 birama bagian introduksi, 8 birama kalimat A, 8 birama kalimat B, 4 birama kalimat C, 8 birama kalimat A’, 7 birama transisi penghantar, 2 birama transisi modulasi, 92 birama bagian improvisasi dan 3 birama kodetta.
