Additional Support was provided by: The organizers would like to thank all participants for donating their time and expertise to this seminar. 5 Participants Mohamed Issa ABUSHAHAB has served as the director of Policy Planning in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs since August 2013. Between 2012 and 2014, His Excellency Abushahab served as the acting director of the Department of American and Pacific Affairs, also at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, he headed the International Climate Change Division within the Directorate of Energy and Climate Change and was posted for five years at the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the United Nations in New York. H.E. Abushahab holds a B.A. from the American University in Washington, D.C. Turki Al Faisal AL SAUD was born on February 15, 1945, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He began his schooling at the Model School in Taif and went on to gain his high school diploma at the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. He then completed his studies at Georgetown University. His Royal Highness was appointed as an advisor at the Royal Court in 1973. In 1977 he was appointed director general (with a rank of minister) of the General Intelligence Directorate (GID), Saudi Arabia’s main foreign intelligence service and served as the head of the GID until August 2001.

BM für auswärtige Angelegenheiten Anfragebeantwortung Die Abgeordneten zum Nationalrat Mag. Johann MAIER, Kolleginnen und Kollegen haben am 28. Juni 2004 unter der Nr. 1945/J-NR/2004 an mich eine schriftliche parlamentarische Anfrage betreffend „Personalabbau durch die Schwarz-Blaue Bundesregierung - Schüssel II" gerichtet. Diese Anfrage beantworte ich wie folgt: Zu Frage 1: Zwischen dem 1.4.2000 und dem 30.06.2004 waren bzw. sind im Bereich des BMaA insgesamt 173 Planstellen einzusparen, und zwar 32 im Jahre 2000, 33 im Jahre 2001, 43 im Jahre 2002, 41 im Jahre 2003 und 24 bis 30.06.2004 (bis 31.12.2004 sind insges. 41 PlSt. einzusparen) Dieser Text ist elektronisch textinterpretiert. GP - Anfragebeantwortung textinterpretiert Da der auswärtige Dienst einen einheitlichen Bereich des Bundesdienstes darstellt, dessen Bedienstete gesetzlich zur weltweiten Mobilität und zur Rotation (siehe § 15 des Bundesgesetzes über Aufgaben und Organisation des auswärtigen Dienstes - Statut, BGBl I Nr. 129/1999) zwischen den Dienststellen in Wien und allen anderen, ausschließlich im Ausland gelegenen Dienststellen des Ressorts verpflichtet sind, und weil die personelle Ausstattung aller Dienststellen des Ressorts laufend den sich an den einzelnen Dienstorten immer wieder ändernden dienstlichen Anforderungen (z.B. Ansteigen der Visa-Anträge, Ab- oder Zunahme der Anzahl der im Amtsbereich lebenden AuslandsösterreicherInnen) angepasst werden muss, kommt im auswärtigen Dienst keine Aufschlüsselung dieser Planstelleneinsparungen nach Bundesländern, Dienstorten und dergleichen in Betracht.
