Celebrity gala “USO Tribute Show” hosted by For The Troops at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

SIMI VALLEY, CA… For The Troops will host its First Annual USO Tribute Show & Dinner at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, CA on Saturday, February 9, 2013. The era is World War II and the music is SWINGING!

Special appearances’ include Broadway, TV and Movie personality . Long known for her support of the USO, Ms. Stevens is the 2011 recipient of the Excellence in Entertainment Award and was a featured favorite on many of Bob Hope’s USO specials. Ms. Stevens adds to her long list accomplishments the roles of business mogul and film director. Ms. Stevens’ stunning and multi-talented daughters (best known for her work with Ellen Degeneres) and Tricia Leigh Fisher, along with husband Byron Thames, will take the stage to provide their own renditions of swing era tunes. Ms. Joely Fisher most recently starred in “Cupid” a Hallmark Channel original movie, while the Thames’ most recent endeavors include the TV reality show, “Beverly Hills Nannies.”

The brassy, “larger than life” Jo Anne Worley will continue the evening’s reverie with her own brand of comedic flair, and is sure to have all in attendance delighted! Well known for her manic energy and zany stage presence, Ms. Worley has transcended her 1970’s Laugh-In TV stardom to become a crowd pleasing performer on Broadway, TV, movies and many theatre circuits on both the East and West Coasts. She most recently appeared as Madame Morrible in the production of Wicked. This actress, stage personality and songstress is also a talented songwriter and is the President of Actors and Others for Animals.

The evening’s Master of Ceremonies is Gary Bryan of K-EARTH 101 FM radio. A favorite radio personality in the southland, Gary hosts the “Morning Show” along with Lisa Stanley. Mr. Bryan’s commitment and dedication to our soldiers is evident in the over $1 million raised to date in support of the Bob Hope U.S.O. at LAX.

The music of the evening is provided by Angel City Big Band, an 18-piece swing band led by 2nd generation band leader, Tim Miller. Local Simi Valley talent will provide a tribute to the Andrew Sisters with impressive 3 part harmonies.

However, the true stars of the evening will be the World War II veterans in attendance and the other military heroes, veterans and active duty military there. We will be providing a special tribute to them during the evening.
