The Kennel Inspection form must be returned directly to the GBGB by the inspecting veterinary surgeon, to be received no later than Monday 7th September 2020. A copy of the form was included in the 13th March 2020 GBGB Calendar. A copy can also be obtained from any Racing Office, Area Stipendiary Steward or from the GBGB Head Office. Additional Notice for Veterinary Surgeons Due to COVID-19, the new kennel standards have been unfortunately delayed. Veterinary surgeons are instructed to conduct inspections of residential kennels as per current GBGB Rules. A revised protocol for 2021 will be distributed as soon as available. FEARSOME ENCORE TAKES BGBF BRITISH BRED OAKS FINAL AS BGBF COMPETITION SCHEDULE CONFIRMED POST-LOCKDOWN FEARSOME ENCORE struck for Chris Akers and the Vegas Five Syndicate in the BGBF British Bred Oaks Final at Doncaster as British-bred competitions returned post-lockdown with a £3,000 GBGB Category Two event for bitches. Breaking smartly, the John Marriott-bred May 2017 daughter of Geelo Vegas and Fearsome Dee was always in command, although Liz McNair’s Queen Dolly (Leamaneigh Turbo-Queen Asia, Jan 18) closed on the leader all the way up the run-in to finish just a half a length behind the 29.58sec victor. This was our first competition since racing stopped for the lockdown and we couldn’t be more pleased with the support it received, the number of entries and the quality of bitches in the final. It was great to see how many really good British-bred bitches there are around - and so many were daughters of, or related to, previous BGBF Oaks finalists.
