DeKay introduced Michael “Micky” Blythe today as the next head coach of the Men’s and Women’s Soccer programs. DeKay noted, “Both the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Medaille College have a long history of success. SCHOOL PROFILE Just this past year, the men’s program qualified for post season play making it to the AMCC finals. He has an Associate’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Service from Niagara College where he played collegiate soccer, and Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from D’Youville College. SCHOOL PROFILE He started his coaching journey in (2003), where he became the Head Coach for the St. Francis freshman squad. In (2008) he made the jump to collegiate coaching, where he was an assistant on the D’Youville Col- COACHING STAFF lege men’s soccer staff. He was at D’Youville until (2010), when he then joined the staff for the Buffalo State men’s soccer program. Chieffo also coached as part of the Empire United Soccer Academy from (2009) until (2013). He currently holds a USSF National “D” coaching license, and also holds his NYS intermediate certification, along with being a member of the NSCAA and U.S. Youth Soccer.
