Issue 7 TRANSMISSION TIMES pssiglobal.com | 1-800-SAT-LINK | [email protected] Did You Know? Since PSSI News Group was established in 2017, we’ve covered quite a few major storms for CNN. In 2017, we were on hand to bring viewers live coverage of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. In 2018, we helped the news about hurricanes Florence and Michael reach people nationwide. And this year, we were on-site in multiple locations in North Carolina and South Carolina to cover Hurricane Dorian. When disasters strike, seamless news coverage is more important than ever — and we are committed to helping ensure viewers get the information they need. It’s Our Favorite Season Forget about winter, spring, summer and fall. Here at PSSI Global Services, our favorite season is football. And it’s a good thing, too — once again, we have a full schedule of college games from coast to coast. This year, we’re excited to be covering … • Every SEC on CBS game • All Army and Navy home games on CBS Sports Network • Conference USA and Mountain West Conference games on CBS Sports Network • Big 10, Big 12, and Pac-12 football across the Fox networks, including a weekly 4K transmission for Fox Sports 1 • At-home transmissions via satellite and fiber for various games on the ESPN networks • Dozens of bowl games and conference championships, including the College Football Playoff In addition to a full lineup of college games, we’re also looking forward to helping out at numerous high school games on behalf of our friends at PA Sportsfever, Rush Media, ESPN and others.

  • Wanting, Not Waiting
WINNERSdateline OF THE OVERSEAS PRESS CLUB AWARDS 2011 Wanting, Not Waiting 2012 Another Year of Uprisings SPECIAL EDITION dateline 2012 1 letter from the president ne year ago, at our last OPC Awards gala, paying tribute to two of our most courageous fallen heroes, I hardly imagined that I would be standing in the same position again with the identical burden. While last year, we faced the sad task of recognizing the lives and careers of two Oincomparable photographers, Tim Hetherington and Chris Hondros, this year our attention turns to two writers — The New York Times’ Anthony Shadid and Marie Colvin of The Sunday Times of London. While our focus then was on the horrors of Gadhafi’s Libya, it is now the Syria of Bashar al- Assad. All four of these giants of our profession gave their lives in the service of an ideal and a mission that we consider so vital to our way of life — a full, complete and objective understanding of a world that is so all too often contemptuous or ignorant of these values. Theirs are the same talents and accomplishments to which we pay tribute in each of our awards tonight — and that the Overseas Press Club represents every day throughout the year. For our mission, like theirs, does not stop as we file from this room. The OPC has moved resolutely into the digital age but our winners and their skills remain grounded in the most fundamental tenets expressed through words and pictures — unwavering objectivity, unceasing curiosity, vivid story- telling, thought-provoking commentary.

Bio & Policy Statement from A Nominee for Correspondent Member Governor 7 Board of Governors 2021-2022 Kristie LU STOUT Affiliation: CNN INTERNATIONAL POLICY STATEMENT I am honored to be nominated again as a Correspondent Governor of the Foreign Correspondents' Club, a thriving social center and world-renowned press club. Over the last year, I have served as a co-convener of the Wall Committee, helping to bring a series of powerful exhibits to the Club’s Van Es Wall including a selection of iconic photographs of the violent insurrection and historic inauguration in America. The committee is also proud to showcase an exhibit of images by the brave photojournalists of Frontier Myanmar who are chronicling the bold protests and brutal crackdown inside the country. As a Correspondent Governor, I have also served as an active member of the Professional Committee, helping to organize a number of speaking events for the Club including panel discussions on topics ranging from the coronavirus pandemic to anti-Asian violence in America, as well as in-depth conversations with authors including Sichuan culinary expert Fuchsia Dunlop and award-winning journalist Stan Grant. Previously, as a proud member of the club, I have been involved as a moderator, speaker, and panelist for numerous FCC panels and Journalism Day conferences. I have had the opportunity to share my views on digital transformation, misinformation, and gender equality, while speaking alongside my respected peers on how we have covered major events in the region. If again elected to the board, I would continue to contribute to the already powerful line-up of FCC exhibits and events that inform journalists and educate the greater community.
