With 200 of the brightest and most influential leaders across the marketing and media space attending, it was truly a meeting of the mobile masters. At last year’s Summit, we learned that marketers were still asking “why” when it came to mobile. Fast forward to 2013, the conversation advanced considerably on how to bolster mobile marketing efforts. A focus of the overall conference was how to bridge the knowing vs. doing gap. Brands know that mobile is a strategic investment but ramping up mobile ad spend, the doing, is still a challenge. We had marketers, agency executives and technology enablers review new trends and innovation in the mobile space, as well as discuss how to grow the mobile marketing industry rapidly but responsibly. There was an honest conversation about the successes and challenges within the mobile space. While many marketers are still figuring out the ingredients of a successful mobile strategy, other brands are trailblazing with best-in-class campaigns that are mobile first. The Summit even provided a forum to discuss privacy and the recent release of the DAA Mobile Principles. After two and half days of intimate conversations and meaningful dialogue, it is clear that mobile has evolved into a leading marketing vehicle and marketers are taking its power seriously. With forums like the CEO and CMO Summit, we are able to advance the mobile marketing movement and educate parties across the ecosystem on the value and potential of mobile. While we are still bridging the knowing vs. doing gap, we have gained 200 powerful advocates that believe the future of media is mobile. Please contact Sheryl Daija, [email protected], for more information on the Summit. Every Moment is Mobile.
