MONSOON noun / man’sou:n / – the season of rain during the summer months in hot Asian countries. It is the lifeblood of Asian harvests on which over a billion people rely. The monsoons in South East Asian countries affect the style of food cooked across the region, from the way it is sourced to how it is prepared and consumed. At Monsoon Colombo, we revel in the variety of opportunities this offers us! Chef Ambrim is from Malacca in Malaysia and Chef Marilyn from Kalinga province in the Philippines. Both grew up in cultures that value wholesome home cooking and street food, and we take great pleasure in bringing their experience and expertise to you.
