HOUSE JOURNAL EIGHTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION PROCEEDINGS FIFTY-FIFTH DAY (CONTINUED) Ð WEDNESDAY, MAY 26, 2021 The house met at 9:36 a.m. and was called to order by the speaker. The invocation was offered by Representative K. King as follows: Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for your many blessings. Thank you for the privilege of serving the people of Texas in their house. We thank you for our wins. We thank you for our losses. May we accept the outcomes with humility and grace. As the 87th Session comes to a close, tensions are high, tempers are shortÐplease help us to remember we are all your children, and to treat each other with love and respect.
