Faith builds a bridge across the gulf of death. God fills our heart with peace when we pour out our heart to him. Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength. - Corrie ten Boom When you think of all that‟s good, give thanks to God. The truest measure of God‟s love is that he loves without measure! - Bernard of Clairvaux God may delay our request but he will never disappoint our trust. Our tendency to wander is matched by God‟s willingness to pursue. Grace is getting what we do not deserve. Mercy is not receiving what we do deserve. God‟s gifts to us are not for us but for others. Looking up to Jesus prevents us from looking down on others. Keeping in tune with Christ keeps harmony in the church. Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles. - Proverbs 21:23 Salvation is the miracle of a moment; growth is the labour of a lifetime. Everyone can do something to make the world better – we can let Christ shine through us. Witnessing isn‟t a job to be done but a life to be lived. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. - Philippians 4:8 - Revd Elise Harding 10 PURE QUEEN LIPSTICK ON YOUR COLLAR Thursday 5th September 7.30pm Back to the 50’s & 60’s!
