Each participant has experience as a working professional in Japan. CIRs engage in translation, interpretation, and international exchange event-planning; SEAs promote international exchange through sports instruction while ALTs assist with foreign language education in schools. JET Programme Participants’ Statistics 2018 marks the 32nd year of the JET Programme. Over the past 32 years, it has seen significant growth, from its original 848 participants from 4 countries at the time of establishment, to 5,528 participants from 54 countries at present. Job-hunting schedule for JET Programme participants JET Programme participants start their appointment in April or July/August.
