Veteran’s Newsletter Ringwood District Cricket Association INC October 2009 Issue 2 Around the Grounds Well, we are up and running and into another season. For the first time, we have teams in Over 40’s, Over 50’s, and now Over 60’s, so we have lots of games to report on. It seems most games were mostly spent fixing up stumps and bails constantly blown off. A reminder to send in any photos taken at your game, or let me know of any humorous antics. I did notice that every team I tipped to win their section this year, had a good win.. Hopefully, everyone had a good day, and I hope most of you performed better than I did! (A duck!) If, by the way, you wish to advertise in our newsletter, it’s cheap. Drop me an email! Cheers Chris Allan Editor- ([email protected] ) Warrick Dickson sends one down in the Wonga Park Masters 2 derby Masters 1 Warranwood v Wonga Warranwood hosted Wonga Park at Quambee. Warranwood batted first and were in trouble early losing 3 for 37. Andrew Walker (27) and Neale Wood (40) steadied the ship to get the Sharks over 100 for 4 wickets. Rob Wood added a quick 27 as Warranwood finished at 8/157. A reasonable score but Wonga are known for their batting (is that right!!). Brad Guan was the best of the Wonga boys taking 3/25 and Darren Howse took a blinder at deep long on. Wonga then batted and were also in early trouble at 3/31.
