Do You Want Free Ebooks for Your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch??

There is an *unsupported* app called the Bluefire Reader available in the iTunes store that will transfer OverDrive's timed DRM'd EPUB eBooks to an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.

OverDrive still intends to release “official” apps for both Apple and Android devices but there is no release date yet.

Bluefire Reader: instructions- http://www.bluefirereader.com/help/libraryBooks.html This application is the Bluefire Reader. It requires the following to properly work:  Adobe Digital Editions  An Adobe ID  iTunes  An Apple device running iOS 3.0 or greater

Adobe Digital Editions: To use the eBooks from our service on *any* device (Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo, etc.) the user must have Adobe Digital Editions installed on their PC or Mac. ADE is the "key" needed to un- lock the DRM that locks the file.

Adobe ID: All eBooks users must have an Adobe ID and must authenticate their computer and devices with the *same* ID. The eBooks can not be transferred to a device if the computer or device is not authenticated with an ID -- always the same ID. iTunes: All users with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, iPods) should already be using iTunes to some ex- tent. They should make sure the software is up to date. They should also pay close attention to the directions for finding and transferring the eBook. All of the instructions are there; they just need to read carefully. iOS 3.0 or greater: Note that some older iPod Touches may not support the newer operating systems.
