1.0 Minutes of the 2015 AGM

a) The Minutes of the 2015 AGM had been circulated and were accepted as a true record.

2.0 Matters Arising

a) None

3.0 Accounts

a) We are currently £158 in credit. Sheffield Tigers will be invoiced for £100 as a joining fee but this will be insufficient to see us through the season. Catering costs at our Meetings are the only regular outgoings. It was suggested that all Member Clubs, apart from Sheffield Tigers, are charged £20. This will be an Agenda item for our next Meeting in October.

1 4.0 Election of Officers for 2016-17

a) The following Officers were elected unopposed:- Chairman—Mike Brennand was proposed by Sedgley Park and seconded by Macclesfield. Hon Secretary—Bill Barrack was proposed by Caldy and seconded by Harrogate. National 2 Executive Member—David Baker was proposed by Harrogate and seconded by Wharfedale.

b) Mike Brennand took the Chair for the rest of the Meeting. He opened by proposing a formal vote of thanks to Mike Harrison for his many years of dedicated Chairmanship. This was unanimously supported. Many examples of his outstanding efforts and achievements were quoted.

5.0 AOB

a) Peter Sharp confirmed the generally felt view that the NCA needed to raise its profile and status in the RFU. Levels 3 and 4 were valuable developmental Leagues for players and officials and merited more central funding.

b) Richard Trickey observed that the RFU recommended Pitch Dimensions were unrealistic. A particular problem was that few Clubs would be able to provide the required gap between the touchline and perimeter fence. MH advised that this matter was to be considered at the NCA AGM which would follow immediately

c) after our Meeting.

6.0 Meeting Dates

a) The NNCA Meetings will continue to be held at Sedgley Park and will normally be on the Monday evening preceding the following day’s NCA Executive Meeting. We’ll next meet on Monday the 17th October.
