Guest Speaker Bios

Dan Stamper

Dan has been a Music Director for Walt Disney Entertainment since 1994. Recently he was responsible for producing the music for live shows at Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland and The Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In 2000 he was nominated for an Emmy Award by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for Outstanding Music Direction for the E Trade Superbowl 34 Half Time Show. The soundtrack featured Phil Collins, , , and Toni Braxton. He has also produced numerous Stage Shows, Parades and Special events including The Festival of the Lion King in Florida and Hong Kong and Finding Nemo, the Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Dan began his career performing with The Stamper Brothers Quartet, singing, playing lead guitar, and trumpet. He also worked early as a studio musician, studied trumpet with Tom Wollwender, principle trumpet with the Cleveland Orchestra, and received his degree in Music from the University of Central Florida. His entrée into Walt Disney Entertainment was as a performer in various shows and parades, and then joined the Walt Disney World Music Department in Music Production.

Outside of , Dan has been a Musical Director for shows in Europe and contributed to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and the 2006 Games in Torino, Italy.
