There are several ministry opportunities available through All Saints for you and your family during Advent and Christmas.

Angel Tree Did you choose an angel to buy gifts for? The return date for wrapped gifts is December 9th, and gifts can be brought to the Great Hall. An Angel Tree Party will be held Sunday, December 15th from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Great Hall at All Saints. The party is always wonderful and we would love to have your participation on that day. All Saints is always so supportive of this ministry, and the families of the “angels” are always very appreciative. If you would like to help with any part of this ministry please contact Lucy Hortberg, 979-6166 or [email protected]. Thank you for your support of the Angel Tree program.

Prepare and serve lunch at Community Kitchens Looking for a way to serve those in need? Saturday, Dec. 1 is our next opportunity to provide lunch at Community Kitchens, located at Grace Episcopal in Woodlawn. It only takes a few hours to prepare and serve lunch to the hungry, get to know your fellow parishioners, and have a good time in the pro- cess. Our team this time will be led by Jim Hughey. To find out more or to sign up to help, contact Jim Hughey at [email protected] or the Rev. Charles Youngson at cyoung- [email protected].

Sawyerville Christmas Gift and Gift Delivery Project For several years All Saints has generously supported a holiday effort to bring goods and gifts to resi- dents of Sawyerville (Hale County) who are elderly and/or economically disadvantaged. You will be able to adopt a resident starting Nov. 26 online or by picking up a card in the cloister. To sign up to deliver the gifts on Dec. 15 please contact Susanna Whitsett, [email protected].

Sawyerville Christmas Gift Party for the Kids! We need adults and youth to help with the Sawyerville Christmas party, which will take place this year on Saturday, December 15.Volunteers will have lunch, set up, help run carnival-style games for the kids during the party, and clean up when the party ends. You are encouraged to wear a festive Christmas outfit/accessories! For more information and to sign up go to http://bit.ly/SawyervilleChristmasParty.

Make a joyful noise with St. Martin’s Singers! St. Martin’s Singers is a relaxed and fun group of All Saints volunteers who come together about once a month to make music with residents of St. Martin’s in the Pines who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. You do not have to be a musician to join us! We welcome children of all ages as well, and the residents particularly love when young people visit. No experience is required—just a love for making music with some of the sweet- est folks you’ll ever meet! We will meet at St. Martin’s the following Sunday afternoons this year: November 18 from 2:15-3:00 PM and December 16 from 2:15-3:00 PM. On December 16 we will sing Christmas carols. If you’d like more information, or direc- tions to St. Martin’s in the Pines Evergreen Unit, contact Susie Youngson, [email protected].

Donate canned and dried food to the Overflow Foundation The Overflow Foundation is a non-profit after school program (for children 4k-7th grade) that meets in Eastlake on Tuesdays and in Tarrant City on Thursdays. Overflow provides a safe spot for children to come after school and enjoy a healthy snack, outside play, an experience with art, music, or drama, homework help, as well as dinner before they go home. Some of our preschool teachers participate in this program every Tuesday. The preschool is holding a canned and dried food drive to support this program. Donations may be dropped off in the preschool office, where a collection basket is located. 4 www.allsaintsbhm.org
