When it comes to country music podcasts, hearing people talk to the format’s artists is wonderful, but let’s be honest: Almost everybody does it. “Wayne D” Danielson is carving out his own niche: With his new iHeartRadio podcast “It’s All Relative With Wayne D,” he’s not interviewing the singers, he’s interviewing their families. Danielson, the Nashville-based afternoon host for iHeartMedia’s “The Big 98” WSIX and “95.5 The Bull KWNR Las Vegas, posted the first episode of the podcast two Fridays ago. We Didn’t Have Much – Reba McEntire Justin Moore After ACM Entertainer Win, Luke Bryan Says “Thank God For Health.” A week after testing positive for COVID-19, Luke Bryan was feeling well enough to participate in a virtual press conference after winning the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year award Sunday. “I was very fortunate not to have a long set of symptoms,” Bryan said from Los Angeles. “It was still quite challenging for a couple of days, but thank God for health.” Bryan credited his wife, Caroline, with nursing him back to health. “The fact that I’ve been home a little more and I could spend quality time with my family, it’s certainly gotten me through all of the challenges of this year,” he said. He’ll be back on “American Idol” tonight. Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show Adds Multiple 2021 Dates. ACM Album of the Year winner Chris Stapleton has added 18 dates to his All- American Road Show tour, including Houston, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Memphis, TN. Tickets for the newly confirmed shows will go on sale on three separate Fridays: April 30, May 7 and June 11, all at 10am local time. The All- American Road Show is set to kick off July 17 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and continue through June 2022. “There’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than seeing the faces of people out in the crowd and hearing them sing back to me and hopefully hearing some of these new songs sung back to us,” Stapleton said. Big Machine Music GM Mike Molinar Added To MTSU Wall Of Fame. MTSU’s College of Media and Entertainment added Big Machine Music GM Mike Molinar to its Wall of Fame last week. Molinar, a 1998 graduate of the Murfreesboro, TN, university, has led BMM since its inception in 2012 and was named an MTSU Distinguished Alumnus in 2013. One of Billboard’s 2020 Country Power Players, Molinar also currently sits on the board of directors of both the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) and Music Health Alliance. “Mike is such a trusted and respected member of the music industry and is proof that nice guys can finish first,” Beverly Keel, dean of the College, said in a release. “I remain in awe of his commitment to songwriters and his dedication to remaining aware of the changes in industry, policies and trends.
