This module focuses on all things country music. We talk about love, jealousy, the land and cover some key musical terms and instruments. You’ll hear about artists like: Charley Pride Dolly Parton Blake Shelton Outcomes By the end of this module you will: • Have listened to a number of country music artists • Sung country songs • Describe some key themes of the music • Describe key music terms • Continue to explore different instruments Equipment Nil – unless you have a guitar and want to play along! Hint: You can stop, rewind and play the video as many times as you want. 1. In the last 2 modules we covered the genre of music, for example country, rock, classical. Remember, we started writing songs in the first module, so if you have written a few lines then keep going! If not, well maybe it’s time to get your creative juices flowing! A song is usually made of a 2-3 verses and a chorus – normally 4 lines each. Use the following sentence starters to start writing your own song, or make up your own first line and start writing!
