The extensions have been design and laid out to integrate seamlessly into the wider built fabric of the Theatre complex. The proposed materials have been carefully selected and have been used elsewhere in the development of the theatre. This will ensure that the proposed extension will remain in keeping with the appearance of the wider building. 7.4 Overall it is considered that the proposals accord with the design related guidance set out in PPW and TAN12, together with FUDP Policies D1 and D2 and with Draft Policies PC3 of the LDP. 7.5 The proposals also seek to improve the existing facilities at the Theatre and ensure that it is accessible to all. The Proposals Theatr Clwyd occupies an elevated site, on the outskirts of Mold, Flintshire, on the edge of a civic campus shared with the Shire Hall Council offices and courts complex. The context is dominated by landscape and open countryside with significant views from the front of the building. The main entrance is to the south; there is public road access and a car park at front and delivery and staff road access at back of site. The proposals aim to fully refurbish and transform Theatre Clwyd, improving access for the whole of the community, partners and stakeholders. It is intended that performance spaces, public areas and visitor experiences are enhanced as a result, along with new and revitalised events, learning and meeting spaces and refurbished back of house, making and rehearsal facilities.

Her career began as an actress – initially at school she took part in the National Theatre’s Connections Festival. She appeared alongside Mark Rylance in the Ronan Bennet’s BBC drama Love Lies Bleeding. In 2013 she collaborated with Bosnian director Haris Pašoviè to create The Conquest of Happiness which was a large-scale performance for the Capital of Culture programme In 2014 she won the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Breakthrough Award for exceptional cultural sector entrepreneurs.
