If you can’t use Newsela, try to find a newspaper or watch a news station. There are 24/7 cable news channels, or the local news is available with an antenna in the morning, noon, 5pm, and 6pm. ○ Talk with a grown-up about what you learned. ● World History - Check out these short, simple videos on YouTube that align to each of Indiana’s WH Academic Standards. ○ Teach a grown-up what you learned. ○ Contact your teacher and tell them what you learned. ● Stuck at home? 11th/12th Grade Week 2 ● Did you know that if you are going to be 18 years old on or prior to November 3rd, 2020, you can vote in Indiana’s primary election (then vote in the general election in November?) ○ Go to https://indianavoters.in.gov/ to register to vote online. ○ Register in person at 1 E. Main St. Suite 176; the Waynedale, New Haven, and Pine Valley BMVs; and many other government offices. ■ English form ■ Spanish form ○ Visit https://www.allencounty.us/register-to-vote for more information. You must bring certain documentation verifying your name and address (i.e. driver’s license or state ID card.) ○ Gov. Holcomb has postponed the primary election until June 2nd.
