●● Composition of investments In Table 3, the investments by societies comprise collective investment schemes in securities (32.40%) which are certified as complying with the distribution requirements of assets referred to in the Annexure to Regulation 29, and other investments (26.73%) which are classified as bills, bonds and securities, immovable properties and investments outside the Republic of South Africa. Deposits and savings accounts accounted for 23.02% of the investments while shares in companies accounted for 17.13%. Government, municipal and other stock accounted for 0.21%.
