ADL Leads Civil Rights Mission to the American South

his February, the ADL TMountain States Region was host to 44 board members and supporters that journeyed to the American South on a Civil Rights Mission to historical sites in Georgia and Alabama. Beginning in Atlanta and continuing on to Montgomery, Selma and Birmingham, the group visited several locations to learn more about slavery, the civil rights movement and current activism aimed at supporting the African- American community, combating voter suppression and more. Words to Action Empowers Students to Stand Up to Antisemitism New materials train students to combat racism and hatred

ith antisemitism and anti-Israel bias at their highest levels in recent memory, WADL is responding by equipping students with constructive and effective tools to stand up to these challenges in high schools, on college campuses, at summer camps and more with its signature Words to Action program. The ADL Mountain States Region is also a pilot site for new lessons that will train Jewish and non-Jewish students to stand up to racism and bias as they learn how to respond to antisemitism. Thanks to generous grants from Rose Community Foundation and Jewish National Fund, ADL is on track to reach 1,000 students in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming during the 2019-2020 academic year.
