Teamup AUDL Power Rankings 6/22/21
TeamUp Fantasy AUDL Power Rankings (6/24 - 6/30) https://www.teamupfantasy.com/ 1. New York Empire The Empire are still in the number one spot this week. Last weekend they had a game against the Thunderbirds and won easily. They should get another win against the Cannons next week. A real test for the Empire will be in two weeks, when they face the Breeze. 2. Chicago Union Chicago had a great weekend; they beat the Mechanix 30-13 and advanced to 3-0 on the season. Danny Miller played extremely well for them and earned player of the game from the Union. Their next game is against the AlleyCats, who have only beaten the Mechanix this year. 3. DC Breeze The game last weekend for the Breeze was amazing. Their offense and defense both had completion percentages above 90. Young players such as Jacques Nissen and Duncan Fitzgerald stepped up and played well. A.J. Merriman had a huge performance with 3 blocks and 6 scores. They are moving up a spot this week. 4. Raleigh Flyers The Flyers are moving down a spot this week, but that is only because the Breeze played exceptionally well. The Flyers got their first win of the season last weekend and have an easier schedule on the horizon. The next three games they play should be easy wins. 5. Dallas Roughnecks Dallas is staying in the same spot this week. They have only played two games and are currently 1-1. Even though they have only played two games, they did beat a good Aviators team this week. -
Teamup AUDL Power Rankings
TeamUp Fantasy AUDL Power Rankings (7/8 - 7/14) https://www.teamupfantasy.com/ 1. Chicago Union The Union have earned the number one spot this week. They are now 5-0 after their win against the Radicals. Chicago's offense has so many weapons and they manage to take smart shots. In their game this past weekend, their defense played better than they have before. If they keep up this level of play they will have a good shot at the title. 2. DC Breeze DC is moving up a spot this week. Last weekend they beat the Empire in impressive fashion. They won by three, but New York scored a couple goals in the final minutes of the game. DC’s offense performed extremely well - as they always do - and their defense managed to get a ton of run through Ds. 3. New York Empire New York is stepping down from their pedestal this week. After being at the top for the first five weeks of the season, the Empire lost to the Breeze. The Empire allowed the Breeze to get too many run through Ds that could have been fixed. The Empire are still a great team and are still scary to face. 4. Raleigh Flyers The Flyers managed to beat the Cannons last week. With that being said, they are staying in the number four spot this week. They have another game against the Cannons next week, which should be another easy win. This team has a lot of potential to make it deep into the playoffs this year. -

Brandmeyer: Baseball and the American Dream: A Conversation With Al Lopez BASEBALL AND THE AMERICAN DREAM: A CONVERSATION WITH AL LOPEZ by Gerard A. Brandmeyer Al Lopez occupies a special niche in the history of Tampa. To his surprise, Lopez became a much heralded symbol of his native Ybor City community. He did this by achieving prominence in major league baseball in a professional career that spanned forty-five years, 1925-69, with thirty-six of these years spent at the major league level first as player and later as manager. The highlights of Lopez’s career are a reflection of the era and the man. At the tender age of sixteen, and therefore technically ineligible to bind himself by contract, Lopez was coaxed nonetheless into signing with the neighborhood Tampa Smokers, forerunner of the modern day Tarpons of the Florida State League. -

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Trent Brock Sport Brandi
Running head: REBRANDING THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 1 The Rebranding of a Franchise: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Trent Brock Sport Branding / JOUR 536 Cliff Shaluta December 1, 2014 REBRANDING THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 2 Abstract The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also known as the Bucs, became the twenty-seventh franchise in the National Football League in April 1976. The team got off to a rough start with the inability to pass the ball, play defense, and most importantly, put points on the scoreboard. They became the first team in NFL history to lose all fourteen regular season games, which caused many excited fans to immediately lose faith. The organization knew it had to make some adjustments or success was doomed. The franchise finally underwent transformations in 1995, 1997, and 2002. The most recent changes have been deemed a success, helping the franchise become one of the most profitable in the league. The job is not over quite yet; there is plenty to do as the brand is monitored and grows even larger. REBRANDING THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 3 The Rebranding of a Franchise: Tampa Bay Buccaneers The National Football League is tough, and the expectations are set extremely high. An accomplished professional sport franchise is a lot more than just winning on the field. The athletes may spend countless hours preparing each week for the next game, but the behind-the-scenes staff is putting in just as much sweat to ensure success. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl XXXVII at the end of the 2002 season. The path to that championship was not easy, and trying to make a return appearance will be even harder. -
Foundationfocus the Official Publication of the TGH Foundation Spring 2012
FoundationFocus The official publication of the TGH Foundation Spring 2012 2012 NIGHT AT THE CIRCUS The Tampa General Hospital Foundation’s 21st Annual “Night at the Circus” was a roaring success! This year’s event was held on January 5, 2012, at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and the event committee was chaired by April Neil and Janet Stephens. April and Janet continued a great tradition of strong leadership, welcomed several new volunteers to the committee and helped raise awareness of the TGH Foundation throughout the community. Each year $2,500 sponsors and above are invited to attend the Patrons’ Party preceding the circus performance. This year 550 guests were greeted by the ringmaster and entertained by face painters, a juggler, balloon twisters, a DJ and members of the circus cast. Net proceeds of $175,000 from this year’s event will benefit the Tampa General Hospital Children’s Medical Center. SunTrust returned as our Three Ring Sponsor for a fifth year. The Lightning Foundation also returned as our Patrons’ Party Sponsor. Other major sponsors included the David A. Straz, Jr., Foundation, McNichols Co. and Family, Radiology Associates of Tampa, P.A./Tower Radiology, The Bailey Family Foundation and USF Health Pediatrics. The TGH Foundation donated over 1,200 tickets to local charities this year so children who normally would be unable to attend had a chance to experience the thrill of the Ringling Bros. and Lauren and Dick Compton and children Lola and Liam pose for their souvenir photo Barnum & Bailey® Circus – The Greatest Show on Earth®. at the Patrons’ Party. -
