THIS AND THAT: • With tonight’s 4-3 win, the Oilers have snapped Boston’s 16-game point streak over Edmonton at 13-0-3 ... It had been the longest active head-to-head point streak in the NHL and the Oilers have now stopped what had been the two longest such ac- tive streaks, as their 3-2 win in Arizona on Dec. 21 ended the Coyotes’ point streak vs. the Oilers at 21-0-4 ... It is Edmonton’s first regulation win over the Bruins since a 6-1 victory in Edmonton on Oct. 17, 2000 and it is their first regulation win in Boston since a 6-0 victory on Nov. 7, 1996. • The Bruins have now killed off 14 straight times short over the last three-plus games since their last power play goal allowed in Buffalo on Dec. 29. • The Bruins opened tonight their tenth set of three games in four nights ...
