COMMUNITY LANGUAGE SCHOOLS FUNDING PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTERING 2017 STUDENT DATA To claim per capita funding for 2017 you must correctly enter all student data in the Excel spreadsheet provided. This spreadsheet contains your school’s 2016 student data that was verified and funded by the Department of Education and Training. STEP 1 Open the spreadsheet. STEP 2 Choose ‘File’, then ‘Save As’ to save the spreadsheet to your desktop or other location. When saving the spreadsheet, use the naming protocol «Your school name» 2017 student data. For example: ABC Community School 2017 student data STEP 3 Check and update the student details in the spreadsheet: Delete all students who completed Year 12 in 2016 as they are no longer eligible for funding Delete any students who are no longer at the school Add details of any new, eligible* students (Add these students to the end of the list. New data that is entered will appear in red text) Add gender for all students (Select from dropdown menu) Add community language school campus for all students (Select from dropdown menu. Note: where a school only has one campus this column has been populated for you) Select and enter the school code from the list of schools below. This will automatically generate the name of the mainstream school that the student attends. There is no need to type in the school name manually. Amend existing student details, if necessary. *Refer to 2017 per capita funding Terms and Conditions for eligibility criteria. Student enrolment data (names, date of birth etc.) should match enrolment information that parents/guardians have provided when enrolling their child in their day school. Students who cannot be matched to a Victorian Student Number (VSN) due to incorrect information being entered, will not be funded. STEP 4 Save the spreadsheet. STEP 5 Attach and email the spreadsheet to [email protected] by 31 March 2017.
