    prince all albums free download HITnRUN: Phase Two. Following quickly on the heels of its companion, HITnRUN: Phase Two is more a complement to than a continuation of its predecessor. Prince ditches any of the lingering modern conveniences of HITnRUN: Phase One -- there's nary a suggestion of electronics and it's also surprisingly bereft of guitar pyrotechnics -- in favor of a streamlined, even subdued, soul album. Despite its stylistic coherence, Prince throws a few curve balls, tossing in a sly wink to "Kiss" on "Stare" and opening the album with "Baltimore," a Black Lives Matter protest anthem where his outrage is palpable even beneath the slow groove. That said, even the hardest-rocking tracks here -- that would be the glammy "Screwdriver," a track that would've been an outright guitar workout if cut with 3rdEyeGirl -- is more about the rhythm than the riff. Compared to the relative restlessness of HITnRUN: Phase One, not to mention the similarly rangy Art Official Age, this single-mindedness is initially overwhelming but like any good groove record, HITnRUN: Phase Two winds up working best over the long haul, providing elegant, supple mood music whose casualness plays in its favor. Prince isn't showing off, he's settling in, and there are considerable charms in hearing a master not trying so hard.     Piotr Mulawka Leksykon polskiej i światowej muzyki elektronicznej „Zrealizowano w ramach programu stypendialnego Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego-Kultura w sieci” Wydawca: Piotr Mulawka [email protected] © 2020 Wszelkie prawa zastrzeżone ISBN 978-83-943331-4-0 2 Przedmowa Muzyka elektroniczna narodziła się w latach 50-tych XX wieku, a do jej powstania przyczyniły się zdobycze techniki z końca XIX wieku m.in. telefon- pierwsze urządzenie służące do przesyłania dźwięków na odległość (Aleksander Graham Bell), fonograf- pierwsze urządzenie zapisujące dźwięk (Thomas Alv Edison 1877), gramofon (Emile Berliner 1887). Jak podają źródła, w 1948 roku francuski badacz, kompozytor, akustyk Pierre Schaeffer (1910-1995) nagrał za pomocą mikrofonu dźwięki naturalne m.in. (śpiew ptaków, hałas uliczny, rozmowy) i próbował je przekształcać. Tak powstała muzyka nazwana konkretną (fr. musigue concrete). W tym samym roku wyemitował w radiu „Koncert szumów”. Jego najważniejszą kompozycją okazał się utwór pt. „Symphonie pour un homme seul” z 1950 roku. W kolejnych latach muzykę konkretną łączono z muzyką tradycyjną. Oto pionierzy tego eksperymentu: John Cage i Yannis Xenakis. Muzyka konkretna pojawiła się w kompozycji Rogera Watersa. Utwór ten trafił na ścieżkę dźwiękową do filmu „The Body” (1970). Grupa Beaver and Krause wprowadziła muzykę konkretną do utworu „Walking Green Algae Blues” z albumu „In A Wild Sanctuary” (1970), a zespół Pink Floyd w „Animals” (1977). Pierwsze próby tworzenia muzyki elektronicznej miały miejsce w Darmstadt (w Niemczech) na Międzynarodowych Kursach Nowej Muzyki w 1950 roku. W 1951 roku powstało pierwsze studio muzyki elektronicznej przy Rozgłośni Radia Zachodnioniemieckiego w Kolonii (NWDR- Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk). Tu tworzyli: H. Eimert (Glockenspiel 1953), K. His romantic, 11-song collection is a project that gives the Jamaica, Queens-raised saxophonist, flautist and keyboardist a few moments to reflect on his artistic and entrepreneurial evolution. Like every Najee release since his million-selling 1986 Capitol Records debut, Najee’s Theme, the Grammy-nominated performer’s sound merges smooth jazz with grooving R&B instrumentals. Each album also features Najee experimenting with musical styles he was exposed to from touring the world. Najee says via phone interview, “Jazz is music. It’s the ability to combine different elements with the spirit of improvisation and creativity. It’s allowing the music to evolve and naturally take you. You have to have knowledge of what you’re doing and a great sense of intuition,” he says. The charismatic, 56-year-old instrumentalist, born Jerome Najee Rasheed, gets a kick out of randomly logging his album and song titles in his iPhone or iPad. His creative process, he says, is quite simple. The Morning After, he adds, is inspired by his travels. “I wanted the album to reflect my experience.     A Royal Revolution: An analysis of the influence of Prince on music marketing OUTSTANDING PAPER – Arts, Music & Entertainment Deirdre T. Guion Peoples, [email protected] Introduction “Albums — remember those? Albums still matter. Albums, like books and black lives, still matter." These are the opening words for the presentation of album of the year at the 57th annual Grammy Awards for what we now know was one of the last television appearances of Prince (Gajewski and Lee 2015). Embodied in that one line is the culmination of a careers’-long battle for acknowledgement, acceptance, and control by an entertainer who refused to play by the rules of the recording industry. Prince figured out early in his career that the link between a musician and their audience was marketing. Marketing that typically was developed and controlled by the record label and not the musician. This study uses the culture production system (CPS) to explore how the musical artist Prince launched a revolution against the marketing practices of the music industry while capitalizing on some of those same practices to craft his image and propel his career. Along the way Prince paved a path for future artists to better maintain control of their artistic output. In exchange for fronting all of the production, distribution and marketing expenses of a musician’s recordings, the record labels also retained ownership of those recordings in accordance with the “work for hire” provision of the Copyright Act of 1976. This long-standing industry practice to include ownership of songs as a part of a recording contract has been a point of contention for several musicians (Sisario 2016).
