Sub: Staging of 1ST Medchal District Open Shotgun Shooting Competitions 2019 in Shotgun (NR & ISSF) events at Sports Authority of Telangana State, Shooting Ranges, , and RARRD Shooting Range, Sanghi Nagar from 12th to 17th November, 2019 & 2nd Trails for Team Selection of 63rd NSCC Shotgun 2019.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The 1st Medchal District Open Shotgun Shooting Competitions 2019 in (NR & ISSF) events will be held at Sports Authority of Telangana State, Shooting Ranges, Gachibowli, Hyderabad and RARRD Shooting Range, Sanghi Nagar from 12th to 17th November, 2019 as per rules and regulations under NRAI Match Book 2016 (amended). This championship will be conducted by Rifle Association of Medchal District (R.A.M.D) under the aegis of the Telangana Rifle Association (T.R.A.)

The competitors who want to participate in these competitions are requested to go through the following instructions carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the above competitions.

Eligibility: 1. All members and non-members of District Associations. 2. Participants using their own arms should be in possession of Valid Arms Licence. 3. Juniors can take part in Shotgun Events under the supervision of Licence holders. 4. Junior Shooters can take part both in Senior and Junior events. 5. All Matches will be conducted as per the NR Rule and ISSF Rule

Participants of 1st Medchal District Open Shotgun Shooting Competitions in (NR & ISSF) events, 2019 will be considered for Team Selection of 63rd National Shooting Championship Competitions in Shotgun Events 2019:

Shotgun Team Selection Policy: Team selection for National Shooting Championship: 1. Two trials of 125 birds will be conducted before the Nationals. 2. Two best scorers to be considered out of the three for selecting a Team (Two trial scores and One South Zone score). Similar rule is applicable for Mixed Event Men and Women. 3. Any National Core Team member(s) forming the top Nine (Senior National Team) will automatically be eligible for inclusion as a member of the team for the National Shooting Competitions from the State. Their participation in any of the State or South Zone Shooting competitions or trials is not mandatory. 4. Similarly, for the Junior Team for the National Shooting Championship, the two best scores will be considered on their two trial scores together with the South Zone Shooting Championship score. 5. Any Jr. National Core Team member(s) forming the top Nine will automatically be eligible to be a member of the Senior/Junior Team for the National Shooting Competitions from the State. However, the shooters (Core Team Shooter) last recognized score will be taken into consideration to assess his form to make the team. For the purpose of clarity, the average score of the other two members of the team will be taken into consideration and the international shooter last recognized score should be equal or more than the average of the other two shooter. Again the last recognized score must be in the time frame of 3 months prior to the Nationals or any score before the National competitions of the current year . Their participation in any of the State or South Zone Shooting competitions or trials is desirable but not mandatory.

6. If in case a selected shooter is unable to participate in the shooting/competition or remains absent forming part of the team, then the next rank eligible shooter will qualify to be a member of the Team.

Important Notes:

1. Only three shooters will be allowed to use common weapon. The names of shooters likely to use common weapon should be intimated together with the weapon number to the Mr. Abid Shareef (Mob. 8978763311) along with Application Form enabling to work out the details for the conduct of the relevant matches. 2. R.A.M.D has the right to close any match or event in case of unavoidable circumstances or otherwise without assigning any reason. 3. Matches will commence from 9:30 am, shooters are requested to be present at the firing point before 20 minutes. 4. In any event if the number of participants is three, prizes will be awarded to only two shooters. Likewise in any event if the number of participants is two the prize will be awarded to only one shooter. 5. Those who are below 21 years and 18 years of age as on 31st December 2019 will be considered under the category of Juniors (1999 onwards) for the Championship. SHOOTERS BELOW THE AGE OF 12 YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CHAMPIONSHIP. 6. All participants must be in possession of a Government issued original photo ID (Aadhar/Driving Licence/Passport). 7. Any shooter violating the safety rules will be disqualified. 8. As per NRAI Range Discipline: All Competitors shall observe strict safety regulations and range discipline and shall not load or commence firing unless on the firing line and only when appropriate firing order is given by the Range Officer. Rest of all ISSF Rule shall apply. The decision of the appropriate Jury shall be final in all such matters.
