Hayley Green Wood • Environment Group adopted Hayley Green Wood in 2005 and has held many events there since then, including rhododendron clearance, tree and wild flower planting, and bird and bat box erection

Year Litter Picks – Sep ’16, Oct ‘16, Mar ’17 (x5), Jun ‘17 A record 8 litter picks this year, collecting a grand total of 42 sacks of rubbish!! These included: • A litter pick around Westmorland Pond with the pupils, staff and parents of Meadowbrook Montessori School • Keep Britain Tidy Community Spring Clean in and around Larks Hill • 4 evening litter picks with the 2nd Bracknell Beavers in Warfield and Bracknell, and • An evening litter pick with Crown Wood Brownies Jun ‘17 Visitors to our stall: • Made 20+ bee hotels • Children made bees, ladybirds and frogs on sticks • And 4 visitors joined the Group We receive an annual donation from the Village Fete Committee Snowdrop Planting – Mar ‘17 Biodiversity Action Plan • Planted 200 ‘in-the-green’ • Actively contributing to the development of a new Plan native bulbs in Westmorland for 2018 – 2023 Park, to add to those already • Actively contributing towards meeting the targets of the planted in previous years current Plan, in this year by identifying veteran trees and surveying ponds for Great Crested Newts
