Março / 2017 É Oficial: Rock in Rio Confirma Incubus Março / 2017 É oficial: Rock in Rio confirma Incubus Banda toca no dia histórico da edição 2017 do festival, quando se apresentam The Who e Guns N’ Roses Rio de Janeiro, 17 de março de 2017 – A banda Incubus está confirmada para o dia 23 de setembro do Rock in Rio. O grupo de rock alternativo toca no Palco Mundo, na mesma noite em que a organização do evento levará um dia histórico para o público ao juntar The Who e Guns N’Roses. Formada em 1991, a Incubus, de Brandon Boyd (voz), Mike Einziger (guitarra), Ben Kenney (baixo), Jose Pasillas (bateria) e Chris Kilmore (teclados), já vendeu mais de 18 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo. Donos de sucessos como Megalomaniac, Pardon Me, Anna Molly e Nice to Know You, o Incubus é conhecido por suas músicas pesadas e com refrões acessíveis, que levam o público ao delírio. As mais lentinhas, como Drive ou Love hurts, não tiram o dinamismo das apresentações da banda. Sobre o Incubus O Incubus surgiu em Calabasas, na Califórnia, com o álbum de estreia Fungus Amongus, em 1995. Em 1997 eles lançaram SCIENCE e, de lá pra cá foram mais seis álbuns de estúdio que alcançaram RIAA de ouro, platina e sucesso multi-platina. Além deles, foram gravados mais cinco álbuns ao vivo. Quatro de suas canções chegaram ao #1 da Billboard Alternative Songs, incluindo "Drive" (2000, também no Top 10 Pop), "Megalomaniac" (2003), "Anna-Molly" (2006) e "Love Hurts" 2008). O oitavo álbum de estúdio do Incubus, intitulado 8, foi co-produzido por Skrillex e deve ser lançado ainda em 2017. Sobre o Rock in Rio O Rock in Rio é o maior evento de música e entretenimento do mundo. Criado em 1985 e com 32 anos de vida, é parte relevante da história da música mundial. O evento já soma 17 edições, 101 dias e 1.604 atrações musicais. Ao longo destes anos, mais de 8,5 milhões de pessoas passaram pelas Cidades do Rock. Nascido no Rio de Janeiro, o Rock in Rio conquistou não só o Brasil como, também, Portugal, Espanha e, em maio de 2015, chegou aos Estados Unidos da América, sempre com a ambição de levar todos os estilos de música aos mais variados públicos. Muito mais que um evento de música, o Rock in Rio pauta-se também por ser um evento responsável e sustentável. Em 2001, através do projeto social “Por um mundo melhor”, assumiu o compromisso de consciencializar as pessoas para o fato de que pequenas atitudes no dia-a-dia são o caminho para fazer do mundo um lugar melhor para todos. Em 2013, o Rock in Rio recebeu a certificação da norma ISO 20121 – Eventos Sustentáveis, um reconhecimento do poder realizador da marca que desenvolve diversas ações com vista à construção de um mundo melhor, como a criação de 182.500 empregos diretos e indiretos no total das 17 edições, e mais de R$ 71 milhões investidos em causas socioambientais e a construção de um legado positivo para as cidades onde o evento é realizado.     Jan. 16, 2005---- If you like Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts, you'll hate Little Darlin' Records. The renegade country label sprang came from the big dreams of the 1960s. Bodacious songs such as Stonewall Jackson's "Pint of No Return," Groovy Joe Poovey's "He's in a Hurry (To Get Home to My Wife)" and Johnny Paycheck's "(Pardon Me) I've Got Someone to Kill" were drenched in steel guitar, edgy vocals and pop-top bass. Aubrey Mayhew, now 78, is the colorful producer of Little Darlin'. He's also known as one of the nation's biggest collectors of 1960s JFK memorabilia, with more than 300,000 Kennedy related items in his possession. He's so obsessive about Kennedy, he purchased the infamous Texas Book Depository at a 1970 auction. Mayhew is overseeing the Little Darlin' reissues, which will roll out through 2005 and 2006 via Koch Records/Nashville. Little Darlin's hard mid-1960s country is truly renegade, especially since it was recorded when Nashville was steeped in the lush strings and fancy arrangements of the countrypolitian movement. There are nearly 5,000 unreleased sides of Little Darlin' material, including live tracks from bluesman Lightnin' Hopkins, gospel songs from Johnny Paycheck and material from an unlikely source, Clint Eastwood. "Clint always said he was a singer," Mayhew recalled from Koch's Nashville office. "But he got trapped into doing an album by some slick guys in Philadelphia. This is when he was doing the 'Rawhide' thing." In 1961, the singing cowboy got off to an inauspicious start when he cut the country-pop single "Unknown Girl" that was more Bobby Goldsboro than Clint Eastwood.
