Updated the description to make it cleaner, updated social media links and remove AddFly from the download. No more add will your way when you download the map. 1 Start by building a foundation for your house. Place a 3x4 rectangle of oak logs. There should be a three-block gap between each log. Fill the rectangle with oak wood planks. Place a ring of oak wooden planks around the outside of the rectangle. Place a ring of oak wooden plates around the outside. Replace the corners with full blocks. 2 Place 3 ecarstocks on top of each log in the foundation. These pillars will form the foundations of the walls. 3 Place three oak fence posts on the corners. These will serve as roof supports. 4 Use wool to create outline of where your roof will go. The roof is one of the most difficult parts, and can make or break a build. After you've practiced a little, you can do this without the outline. 5 a plan for how to shape your roof. Try Try curve it towards the top. The lines are at one-block gaps, so you can see how to place the blocks. 6 Extend the lower layer of the roof plan to a rectangle. Replace the four corner plates with full blocks. 7 Build the next layer of the plan into a rectangle. Make sure it is nested inside the first layer. 8 Extend the third layer to a rectangle. 9 Add the fourth layer. For this layer, just build the long sides of the rectangle, and not the short sides. Note that they extend out on the third layer. 10 Extend the remaining layers out into strips, like the fourth layer. 11 Fill in the space in between the top layers of the ceiling, to create an alcove. Repeat at the opposite end of the roof. 12 Add a couple of oak wooden steps to each end of the top of the ceiling. This improves the appearance. 13 Go under the roof, and fill in the gap between the roof and the pillars with oak wood planks. 14 Fill in the inside of the ceiling. This creates a flatter roof inside your building. 15 Use glowstone to light it up. Don't want mobs playing inside! 16 Fill in the gaps between the pillars with white stained glass windows. Remember to leave a gap in one of them for the door. 17Use white stained glass windows to divide the inside of the building, if desired. 1 Create the framework for the foundation. Place a six with six square sofa of oak logs, with a 3 block gap in between each one. 2 Place an oak log in the center of the square. this will be the central pillar of the building. 3 Fill in the space between the logs with oak wood planks. Also, place a ring of oak wooden planks, then a ring of oak wooden tiles, around the outside of the square of logs. 4 Place three oak logs on top of each log in the foundation. 5 Place a ring of oak wooden planks around the top of the pillars. 6 Place white stained glass windows between the logs. Leave a hole in one for the doorway. 7 Place a ring of oak wood plates around the ring on top of the pillars. 8 Place a second ring of oak wooden plates around the one you just made. Replace the corners for full blocks. 9 Create a guide on where the next layer of the roof will go. 10 Expand each of the blocks in the wizard to an entire square. Each box should be nested inside the others. 11 Build the central pillar to level the ceiling. 12 Fill in the ceiling with oak planks. This will form the floor of the next layer. 13 Place a ring of oak wood columns on the floor you have just filled out. 15 Place a ring of oak wood planks around the tops of the pillars. 16 Fill in the gaps between the pillars with white stained glass windows. 17 Create a guide for where the next roof will go. 18 Expand each layer of the guide to a square. Replace the corners for full blocks. 19 Build up the central pillar. 20 Fill the floor. 21 Build a three-block high pillar of oak wood in each corner of the new layer. 22 Create a circle of planks around the top. 23 Fill the sides with white glazing. 24 Build a guide for where the roof will go. This is the last roof, so it's a little steeper than the others. 25 Turn the handlebars into a full ceiling. You know the drill by now... 26 Use oak wooden fence posts to create a finial on top. 27 Light up the inside with glowstone. 28 Build a ladder up the central pillar to reach the other floors. 29 Ready! 1 Use wool to build a guide to where each layer will go. The bottom layer should be five blocks high, and the other five layers should be four high. Each layer should shrink inwards with one block on the long side, and one or two blocks on the short side. 2 Fill in the bottom layer with cobblestones. This forms the basis of your castle. 3 Build a guide on where the foundation will be expanded outwards. The inner layer should be 3.5 blocks high, and the outer should be 1.5 blocks. 4 Extend the guideline outwards to increase the width of the foundation. 5 Build the ceiling and walls for each layer. The floor will be made by the ceiling of the warehouse below. 6 Go to the top of the building, and create a guide on where the roof will go. 7 Expand the guide into a ceiling. 8 Build a ring around the base at the top level. 9 Add two rows of blocks to the top of the long sides of the next level down. 10 Add two rings of tiles to finish the ceiling on the second level. 11 Add a small sunroof on either side of the second level. This step is optional and purely cosmetic, but it improves how your building looks. 12 Place two plates on the third level. These will be a guide to where the roof will be built. 13 Build two rings of tiles around the third level. 14 Build a sunroof on the short sides of the third flat roof, if desired. 15 Build two ceilings in the ceiling if desired. Add them on the long side of the third level, below and to the side of the rooflet on the second level. 16 Remove a series of blocks at the top of each of the short pages of the fourth level. 17 Place a block row just below the cutout on the long side of the fourth level. 18 Build two rings of tiles to finish the roof on the fourth level. 19 Build two rings of tiles around the bottom level to complete the roofing of the castle. 20 Go to the top of the roof and build a series of fence posts, if desired. 21 Add an optional edging. Replace the edges of the roof with a block of different colours, such as spruce or dark oak. This helps the functions of the building to stand out. 22 Make a hole in the front like a door, and build a staircase leading up to it. 23 Light the inside of the building. 24 Build a staircase between each level. Make sure that you replace all the lights that the stairs cover up, to prevent mobs from playing. 25 Place holes in the walls such as windows and arrows. 26 Ready! 1 Build dirt roads between your A simple step, but it helps. 2 Build a stone pagoda. Stone pagodas are much more compact than wooden pagodas. Building one with five layers looks great, but in real life they can have as many as sixteen layers. A stone pagoda works well as a focal point, for example at a crossroads. 3 Build a torii port. In real life, these are usually found at the entrances to shrines. They can serve to draw your attention to a particular road or building. 4 Build toro lamps along the roads. Like torii, toro is most commonly found in Shinto shrines. They serve to illuminate roads, and in Minecraft, keep mobs away. 5 Plant oaktrees around your buildings. Swap the leaves for white or pink wool to create cherry trees, and for yellow/orange terracotta and red/brown wool to create autumn trees. Add New Question Question I am very impressed with your work and I want to recreate it; however, I am stuck at the point where you first lay out the wool. Any ideas? The wool serves only as a guide for where the building will go. For the castle, the wool forms only a series of boxes. The bottom box is five blocks high, and the others are four blocks high, and each one is a little shorter than the one below it. For the house, the wool forms a line to plan out where the roof goes. Question How do I make the inside look good? Depends on what style you want! Try looking for some Japanese interior architecture and basing it on it. Question How does the cap wizard work? It's just a few wool blocks to give an overview to give you an idea of how to build things. Ask Me trying to do it exactly because I have a hard time translating what you have done to another situation. What were the measurements you started with at base in terms of width and length? The base of the house is 13 x 17. The initial layout of logs for the pagoda is 21 x 21. I'm not really sure how wide I made the castle, but both dimensions will be an odd number. Question Does this make me a weeb? No, it doesn't. You are just simply building a Japanese style building. Weebs are people who are not Japanese but want to be. Question Can I sell this house for money? You may not sell anything in Minecraft for money due to copyright laws. Question How do I build a Herobrine spawner? Herobrine doesn't exist in stock Minecraft (officially), so you need a mod to play him. If you do get a mod, check out such mod's documentation; it will tell you how to use it. Ask the Pagoda if I want to create rooms, should I separate them with glass or wood? I suggest wood, unless you want transparent rooms. Question Will other types of wood suffice? Yes, all wood works fine with this! You do not need to use wood, either; Use whatever block you want to use! Question I built a house and want to use bamboo (1.14 update). Any tips on how to use it? I find that bamboo looks incredibly cute when into a flower pot! Place some bamboo around the house, use command blocks if you like. But if you use them, make sure that bamboo is high enough. Then place the command block on top and it won't grow anymore.
