Chapter 6 () Exam – Study Guide & Essay Requirements

Part 1 – Multiple Choice, Matching & True/False: You will take a multiple choice exam in class on 2/7/13. The material you see listed below is what you will be tested on. All of these items can be found in Chapter 6 (P.150-178) of your textbook, or in materials that we have cover in class (videos, lectures, PowerPoint’s, projects, etc...)

To prepare for the test, you should try to find the 5 W’s. They are: who are the main characters, what happened, where did this happen, when did this happen and why is this historically important or significant?

I expect that you will fully answer each part of the question. Feel free to use resources like the textbook, notes and assignments from class to answer the questions.

All essays should be done in 12pt Times New Roman font (using no spacing style). Answers should be 3-4 paragraphs in length. If you need computer access, please make arrangements to stay after school during the week to work in the library. You may also bring your essay on a thumb drive and print it at school.

Part 2 - Essay Questions:

1. Define profit and personal values. Then, compare how profit and personal values played a role during the Revolutionary War. Describe examples of how groups and/or individuals considered profit over personal values or personal values over profit during the Revolutionary War.

2. What role did women and African Americans play during the American Revolution? Why did each group start to question their place in society as a result of the Revolutionary War?
