and their families. Summer 2014 Children’s Centres
Children's Centres provide a single access point to a range of services and information for children under 5 and their families. Sure Start Children's Centres are at the heart of government strategy to deliver better outcomes for young children and their families, building on the success of Sure Start Local Programmes, Early Excellence Centres and Neighbourhood Nurseries to extend the benefits to all families. Children's Centres in West Somerset provide the following services:
Information, guidance and advice for families Co-ordination of support for families within and outside children's centres Flexible, quality childcare (may not be on site) Support into work and training. Promotion and support for healthy lifestyles
£1 donation for all Children Centre groups that provide refreshments

To ensure that you and your family are being offered the services which you are entitled to, Somerset Children’s Centres need to gather personal data about you and your family. We will use the information to; let you know about services and activities, contact you to find out your views about Children’s Centres, get you the support you need from other Children’s Services,
monitor and evaluate the services you receive.
All information is stored securely in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will not be shared without your prior consent.
Sure Start Children’s Centre membership is free. Please ask a member of staff for a membership form. Only members of the Children’s Centre will be entitled to register for any free courses that we are able to offer.
