Abdur Rashid** The trend of pursuing higher education is particularly upward in Bangladesh from the last two decades. Before the establishment of the private universities, the public universities have been the only resort for higher education. Later on, the private universities have become new incorporation in this scenario. Now, both public and private universities are playing significant role in developing human resource (HR) for the nation. But ensuring quality education has so far remained as a great challenge for these academic entities due to some gaps in the respective services and support. However, the existing literatures are not sufficient to demonstrate the actual level of academic service quality in the private universities in Bangladesh. So this indicates to the research problem and this is the reason which motivated to endeavor the current study through a modified questionnaire of the prominent SERVQUAL model based primary survey during the month of October 2016. Finding the gap in the service quality, the study recommends the administration of the private universities to ensure career oriented finest quality education related services through active and sincere support by the faculty members, officials and other staffs. Abdur Rashid** Quality education is considered as the prime focus of each of the higher educational institution engaged in training and development of students as human resources. Towards this journey, the well trained and developed graduates represent as power and the faculty members who mentor them act as the amplifier of this power. Here, the role of faculties is very significant because their active, sincere and excellent performance can bring positive and qualitative change in the academia. This results in groomed leadership of graduates in the national development endeavors. But such dream can never be cherished unless the respective faculty members perform with their utmost capacities, commitment and contribution. To ensure due diligence of the faculty members, the practice of their performance evaluation is prioritized in the educational institutions. From this perspective the current study is a motivational attempt to identify the influencing factors of faculty evaluation which have positive impact on the quality education of the higher educational institutions in Bangladesh through a structured questionnaire based on primary survey during the month of November 10, 2017 to December 09, 2017. The findings of the current study indicates a good number of factors including humanistic quality and morality of the faculty members, well behaved, close and sincere relationship between faculty members and students, on time class attendance and course syllabus coverage, practically enriched teaching and learning, etc., enable effective grooming of the students and thus ensure quality education of the respective higher educational institutions in Bangladesh.

Shamsul Islam Khan Introduction Bangladesh is located in south Asia and borders with India, Myanmar (Burma), and the Bay of Bengal to the south. It is a young parliamentary democracy and became a free nation on December 16, 1971 after the war of independence with Pakistan. Its present population is 161,083,804 and is the ninth most populous country in the world. Bengali is the national lan- guage of the country (Wikipedia 2012). Like several other countries, li- braries are part of higher education, research, and community life in Bangladesh. It is mandatory for higher educational academies and research organizations to maintain and develop libraries to support their mission and central activities. Universities, colleges, research organizations, and var- ious national and international organizations in the country have their own libraries. Many university libraries and research libraries are moving gradu- ally from print-based resources to electronic resources. The progress in access to information resources suggests that these libraries are intending to flourish as hybrid libraries, although an electronic arena of libraries is gaining new momentum.
