Food provision

134 children aged 1 year to 13 years registered to take part in the Fit & Fed project which ran Monday to Friday from 23rd July to 31st August 2018. 70% of the children came from Penrhiwceiber with smaller numbers coming from the surrounding towns and villages of Tynte Town, Bryntirion, Perthcelyn, Aberaman, Miskin, Mountain Ash, Cwmaman and Abercynon. Smaller numbers came from Barry, Penarth, Llantwit Major and London. These smaller numbers tended to be children visiting grandparents.

Overall 224 breakfasts and 507 lunched were consumed. The average number of children per day was 8 for breakfast and 20 for lunch. The maximum number for breakfast was 22. The maximum number for lunch was 43.

3 Activities

Children were offered a range of organized activities which ran alongside the normal pool opening. The table below shows the statistics.

38 new volunteers worked alongside our regular volunteers to make this project a success.

Total attendances from 22nd July to 31st August 31st 2018 was 2,800.
