Northwestern University is hosting the event at the Sears Centre Arena. A total of 16 Awards ceremony to conclude at 9:15 p.m. teams ranked in InterMat’s Tournament Rankings are scheduled to participate. That includes six teams in - Midlands Hall of Fame Inductions will the top ten. The top teams include second-ranked Penn State, No. 4 Michigan, No. 6 Lehigh, No. 7 Iowa, be prior to final session No. 8 Arizona State, and No. 9 North Carolina State. Using InterMat’s latest individual rankings, as many LIVE STATS -- Trackwrestling.com as 112 nationally-ranked wrestlers are listed in the preseeds. There are six wrestlers ranked at the top of their weight class. Seth Gross of South Dakota St. (133 lbs.), Zain Retherford of Penn State (149 lbs.), Jason Nolf of Penn State (157 lbs.), Vincenzo Josphe of Penn State (165 lbs.), Zahid Valenica of Arizona State (174 lbs.), and Bo Nickal of Penn State (184 lbs.) all sit at the top of their respective weight classes. } The Fighting Scots look to finish the year strong after finishing third at the PSAC Championships. Lock Haven won the team title for first time since the 2000-01 season with Clarion finishing runner-up. Sean Russell (125 lbs.), Korbin Myers (133 lbs.), and Andrew Shomers (157 lbs.) won titles in their weight classes while Peter Pappas (149 lbs.) finished runner-up. That season, current Fighting Scot assistant coach Mitchell Port won his second Midlands title Edinboro Fast Facts at 141 lbs. leading Edinboro to a fourth place finish. Five Fighting Scots medaled including Port at 141 lbs. with Dave Habat (2nd - 149 lbs.), Kory Mines (4th - 125 lbs.), J.J. Schopp (4th - 133 lbs.), and Vic Avery (5th - Edinboro University 184 lbs) also making the podium. Location: Edinboro, PA } Edinboro opened up the season hosting the Fighting Scot Duals. The Scots opened the season with Founded: 1857 a 34-9 win over Cal State Bakersfield, then defeated Bucknell, 30-10. Before that, the last home dual match that the Pride dropped was on November 29, 2003 when the ninth-ranked Cornhuskers of Nebraska downed Hofstra, 30-10. HOFSTRA THIS YEAR: Hofstra, in its 60th season of wrestling, is 3-3 on the year with wins over #25 Bloomsburg, 2007-08 HOFSTRA unranked Bucknell and #25 Harvard, and losses to #7 Missouri, UNIVERSITY WRESTLING #10 Penn State and #3 Oklahoma State.     • Hofstra is 64-1-1 in its last 66 conference dual matches. The Pride’s only loss during that time came on January 17, 2009 against Old Dominion in CAA Duals, 17-15. Hofstra’s conference undefeated streak ended at 63 matches (62-0-1) and their winning streak was snapped at 60.
