Amendments of currency names With immediate effect, the following changes are made to “List one: Currency, fund and precious metal codes”:

The Central Bank of the Republic of confirmed the amendment of the currency name Guinea Franc to Guinean Franc.

The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. confirmed the amendment of the currency name Kip to Lao Kip.

Amendment of currency name short form With immediate effect, the following change is made to “List two: Fund codes registered with the Maintenance Agency”:

The Central Bank of Uruguay confirmed the amendment of the currency name short form from URUIURUI to UI.

Corrections of codes for historic denominations of and funds With immediate effect, the following corrections are made to “List three: Codes for historic denominations of currencies and funds”:

The Central Bank of Myanmar (the former Burma) confirmed the currency name as “Kyat”. It replaces the entry N.A.

The People’s Bank of confirmed that the currency “Peoples Bank Dollar” (CNX) never existed in China (amendment no. 27).

The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. confirmed that the currency “Kip Pot Pol” (LAJ) never existed in . It is replaced by “Pathet Lao Kip” (without alphabetic code) (amendment no. 27).

The Central Bank of confirmed the correct currency name as “Loti”. It replaces the denomination “Maloti”.

Change of country name Effective 17 May 2016, the following minor correction is made to “Table A.1 – Currency and funds code list” (as advised by the ISO 3166 Maintenance Agency):
